Sackbot Sound effects

Hiya Sack peeps,
For my new level I want to make it so that when the sackbot being controlled by the player jumps and hits the ground it makes two different sound effects, one for the jump, one for the landing. I have tried an impact sensor for the landing SFX but it doesn't seem to be working.
Anyway, any help is much appreciated

I have no idea.

How about on a controllinator (controlling the sackbot) wire X up to the sound. I dont know what to do for te landing though.

Perhaps you could put a tag on every surface that the player might walk on, and have the impact sensor require the tag. It might help it work better.2011-07-11 11:05:00

Yeah I think I know, Try attaching the X button of the controlinator to a sackbot sound so when you jump it makes that sound I don't know why the impact is not working but maybe you can attach a tag to the ground and make the impact sensor only activate when it hits that tag.If that doesn't work than the impact is probably just to weak. Good luck

or... attach the impact sensor to a oneshot pulse (a counter set to one and resets itself) and also connect that to the sound effect which is also set to oneshot

hopefully this should work fine

Hi there.
What you could do is use a sackbot controlled by the player via a controllinator.I cant upload pictures to explain clearly alas so i;ll try to explain.
One way is to create a chip on this player controlled sackbot and place the following logic on it.
Ok, place a NOT GATE on the chip and wire the X button output into it. Wire the Output of this Not Gate into the (-) negative input on a COMBINER.
Also Wire the same X button into the (+) positive input on the same Conbiner.
Next, connect this Combiners output into the input on a SPLITTER. From here this splitters positive output heads off to the jump sound effect and that.
To make the landing effect, wire the splitters negative output into the first input on an AND GATE, On this And Gate have INPACT SENSOR wire into the second input on this And Gate, and from the And Gates output wire it to the inpact sound for when you hit the ground.


X BUTTON-------------------- + COMBINER + SPLITTER------------------------------------------------------------Jump Sound

X BUTTON----NOT GATE---- - COMBINER - SPLITTER-------------------AND GATE
----------------------Impact with ground sound
