Problems with emiter

Archive: 4 posts

The problem with the emiter is that i have an object sized to 4x4 by small grid what i want to emit. the emiter is inside of a microchip microchip is glued on the center of a 4x4 small grid dark matter.

now i just set the emit to emit the object to the center of it so it will overlap the dark matter perfectly (object is hologramm ^^)

now the problem is that it emits 1 small grid block higher then it should what can be the problem ?

Grafically shown:
This is where the emiter should emit:
x is object

000000
0xxxx0
0xxxx0
0xxxx0
000000

And that is where it emits:

0xxxx0
0xxxx0
0xxxx0
000000
000000

Have you tried using a new emitter? It could be that the one you're using is faulty. If it persists try moving the microchip down one square which should in effect also cause your emitted object to appear one lower. If the problem still persists it must be some sort of bug, and ideally you should delete it all and make it from scratch (shouldn't take too long with the setup you outline). Also, do you have a hard copy of the hologram you're emitting somewhere in the level? If the emitter is emitting the object stored in its memory alone problems can sometimes arise.2011-07-11 13:05:00

It probably does not apply, but just in case it does: if you are emitting objects using the capture function, modifying objects emitted from emitted objects - I call them 2nd generation emitted objects - will not show up when testing. You will need to recap the 2nd gen object from the 1st gen object; only then will the 1st gen object be updated and function correctly when emitted.2011-07-11 13:14:00

I have readded emiter so there is no failure the object i am emiting is captured first then got into the emiter i am just capturing the microchip where is the emiter inside and pasteing it in another level where is no copy of the original captured hologramm
