Well just got done playing the Yemen map on Uncharted 3. I think it's pretty fun. But what do you guys think of it? Do you hate it, do you love it, what? And out of Aiistrip, Yemen, and chateu, whats your favorite? =)

My favourite is definitely Yemen, followed by Airstrip, then Chateau. But then again, in Yemen I fell through the floor and in Chateau I got stuck inside a staircase...

For some odd reason I thought this thread said Uncharted 3 Beta: Yemen Map Easter Eggs. Well, as long as I'm here, might as well post my thoughts. Yemen is probably my favourite, mainly because it's nice to have a change and a new map to play in the beta. The corridors and maze-like pathways make it tricky for inexperienced players which just makes it all the more fun in my opinion. The Airstrip is next on my list and although some people have complained about the starting sequence with the plane on the airstrip, saying it to be unfair and giving the heroes side an advantage, I still find it to be a unique and exciting way to introduce the players into the airfield where the remainder of the match is being played. The push and pull action that's occurring between the two contradicting sides on a moving battlefield gives it the Hollywood effect that excites me. Maybe it's because I'm usually put on the heroes side in these type of matches. The Chateau has to be the last on my list even though it looked so cool in the multiplayer trailer at first. I'm also pretty sure that the Chateau is the only map to include beginning and ending sequences for the winning and losing team (sorta how Killzone 3 has had their multiplayer matches set about) but please correct me if I'm wrong. I also feel that many parts of the map don't really get the attention of many players as they are more accustomed to a patrolling pattern in an area they're comfortable in. At least that's what usually happens in the matches I play in. Wrote a lot more than I had intended to. Anyways, that's just my thoughts on the maps in the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer BETA.

Yemen is the sniper map. I always set the sniper kit as default before starting and rush to the T-Bolt sniper when I see it (already learned the spawn locations). Then climb one of the towers and overwatch everything with my buddies. Me and my brother had an epic moment yesterday. He shot someone with the sniper and I finished him sliding under him and punching his nuts.

The Yemen map is probably my favorite, to tell the truth. I'm just enthralled by the verticality of the map. 'Airfield' was a much more linear map while 'Chateau' represented a balance between the two. 'Yemen', on the other hand, prides itself on enclosed spaces and A LOT of stair/wall climbing. I also found the level to somehow play on every weapon's strengths and weaknesses. For example, the shotgun proved to be beyond useful while navigating the maze of narrow corridors, yet there were still open areas where it was much less effective. Alternatively, the sniper rifle shined when operating from the top of the towers, yet the amount of structures in given areas served to obscure targets from view. This map will definitely be a load of fun come launch date.

^ Agreed Just had an awesome moment on that map. The game started, I took some cover and threw a grenade at the balcony from the lower side to the upper side, above the middle platform. (I couldn't see the balcony, but I knew it was there). Got Hail Mary medal. Going to send it to plays of the week as a Special Moment. My brother is going to send his Five not Alive medal inside the airplane. Hopefully we'll appear on the next Plays of The Week!

Yemen is a great map, just for sniping tho... Second would have to be Chateu. It's a place for grenading ppl when they camp out And third is Airstrip the begenning is probably the best part just because i like kicking people off the plane from the sides. But after that it's pretty much just boring :/ But can't wait for the full game to come out though

I love this map so much. I just run around with my pistol on Team Deathmatch, and I usually get around 20 kills. It's a shame the beta ends this week. (I heard tomorrow...) Wish it wasn't just a publicity beta... I have a few bugs that I found that I'd like to report.

Its not just a publicity BETA, you report bugs on their website. I like Yemen. Got some awesome kills yesterday. climbed the ladders into the crows nest and scored 3 consecutive pull downs, climbed in, punched a guys nuts then, on the zipwire down some one was trying for a sniper kill from the opposite crows nest. I threw a grenade whilst on the zip wire an it bounced of the pole and killed the sniper. 5 not alive my favourite map of all easily. I love the intricrassies and how detailed everything is.
