Sound of emitted water
Archive: 3 posts
Hello everyone. Do anyone know how to get rid of the sound of water that is emitted by emittor? I used material tweeker and disabled physics sound of water bobble, but I can still hear that annoying splash sound... | 2011-07-09 15:51:00 Author: Unexpecter Posts: 137 |
not gonna retype it myself, so here you go ;-) Are you tired of hearing that annoying sound when your emitted water hits the ground? So was I. After testing out a few methods that either didn't work very well (such as using a destroyed to eliminate the water before it hit the ground; it worked, but looked strange and required exact timing) or failed completely (using a Material tweaker to set to disable physics sounds), I have found a solution that actually works. First take out a drop of water from your projectiles section. Next, place a microchip on the water and place two sounds on this chip (they can be any two sounds). Tweak the first sound and set the volume to 0 and set the Trigger Mode to On Creation. Tweak the second sound, set the volume to 0 and the Trigger Mode to On Destruction. Capture and emit! You now have a water emitter without the annoying splashing sound. You can also use this method to create a custom sound when the water hits the ground (just don't set the volume to 0). | 2011-07-09 16:06:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |
