Cloning Machine
Archive: 4 posts
I was making a cloning machine one day which i got to work but I cant get to work exactly the way i want it to. I want it to tell the difference between players 1-4 so that whatever player activates the cloning machine will get cloned | 2011-07-09 02:42:00 Author: ffjjbb Posts: 14 |
Look in the Creator's Toolkit, by Robbit10. It has a "Player Identifier" or something. | 2011-07-09 05:02:00 Author: BeaversLikeWood Posts: 119 |
You could make each player spawn as a controllable sackbot (using the invisible hologram controlinator method). Then, give each sackbot and individual tag. On the microchip of the cloning machine make it have 4 different tag sensors that match the colour of the tags on the sackbots. Set the radius of the signal to where you want to the player to step when the clone is created. Hook up each of the sensors to the emitter which spawns the clone, and there you have it! | 2011-07-11 11:30:00 Author: lbp2goty Posts: 104 |
You may want to look into my tutorial about Nearest Player Controlinators. Once control over an object is established by a player (it doesn't require player input), an object emitted from the controlled object might register as owned by that player; if the emitted object is a bot set to adopt owner costume, you have a clone. This is all theory, of course, but at least you have a starting point for examination. | 2011-07-11 12:37:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
