how do i make great level icons? ive tried some stuff but its never what i really want:? help please (A)?

I tend to do a few things when contructing a badge 1. always use front view as it tends to give a better picture 2. place the sticker on a circle of material to give an idea of what it will look like 3. use lighting in the scene as lbp2 photos capture it and it creates some nice effects Apart from this just keep experimenting, make a few versions of a badge and choose the best

Make everything have extra high contrast, if possible. If your background is dark, try using Hologram and adjust the brightness so that it's well lit, but not actually glowing. Good method for making logo style badges. For more picturesque badges, try to use only a few bold details. Anything subtle gets lost.

If you have a Move camera (like me, which is why I'm saying this), then just make it on paper and capture it using the Move camera. Like Dav1d0 said, make it as good of a circle as you can. (Maybe use a compass.) Make sure not to make it too big, as all the details will not be captured.
