LBP Train Builders

I've been noticing alotta people in lbp have been making Train Bomb Survivals which are really boring if you ask me. I want to see actual train creators get out there and join together to make trains, and hopefully get rid of train bomb survivals. Please, people of LBP, we really need good train creators. | 2011-07-08 08:18:00 Author: Unknown User |

First, this is not news. If I had the power, I'd move this topic to somewhere more suitable. Second, train bomb survivals appeal to a sizable demographic - the people who aren't easily bored by such levels - and that's okay. Just don't play train bomb survivals. Third, most people who work with trains as a hobby are wackos. Just saiyan. ?_(ツ_/? I am so sorry. | 2011-07-08 15:24:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |
Where's TSFRJ when you need him? | 2011-07-08 17:49:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
Sorry about that, I was up late when I posted that thread. Dyums, can't be the only train builders out there, there needs to be more. | 2011-07-08 18:52:00 Author: Unknown User |
Bomb Survival is only hated because oversaturation of this kind of levels, overall there nothing wrong with bomb survivals besides they are not popular creations in LBP2, in LBP1 it was popular because it's most easiest minigame to make. Train tech was also revolutionery of it's time and people get obsessed with it, i remember times when on cool pages you could only play train survivals, i even make one that i never relesed but still keeping it on the moon | 2011-07-09 16:21:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
I'd like to make a train at some point. Interesting parts in LBP for me would be: effective suspension bogie best materials/material teaker settings to use for running wheels and track and how to model braking with cool sparks and stuff making a decent pantograph since I imagine they need to acuated Above is for an electric train obviously but I'd love to try making all the pistons and stuff that drive the wheels on a steam locomotive. | 2011-07-09 16:41:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |
Really, I love your idea. Right now im working on the suspension bogie and braking. Right now braking does not work well, but the suspension is getting better and better. | 2011-07-10 07:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
Where's TSFRJ when you need him? Probably making a train. | 2011-07-10 08:07:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |
I'm one of the great train builders of LBP specifically one of historical origins, I currently run about 8 of the most historical locos on one of my levels, another is a the Gustav aka really big gun from WWII and about two others that are in the works and a bunch of other cool contraptions and finally... WHYZ U MAKES HASTY GENERALIZATIONZ THAT WE TRAIN GUYZ ARE WHACKOS ლ(ಠ益ಠლ | 2011-10-04 05:51:00 Author: Unknown User |

I haven't seen a train Bomb survival for ages though... Or more preferably (by me) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHkKJfcBXcw | 2011-10-05 00:38:00 Author: 11204 Posts: 111 |
Rhe sequal to The OK Murder Mystery on the Mississippi Express was going to be on a train. I had started making a repeating rail but went on to other things...but since then tracks turned up in several of my levels just because I really still want to finish the level. (The Mississippi Express being inspired by Agatha's Orient Express...making it full circle). I do love trains though and if I ever get time I will do that level with a steam train from the 40's that seems the most fun. The issue with it is that I can't use the last plane if I am going to do #D...which will take away from the design space...and the same goes for the foreground where I would like to have tunnels and trees...Actually the level will be OK Murder Mystery on the Amtrack Express. | 2011-10-05 01:57:00 Author: celsus Posts: 822 |
If I recall correctly, Biorogue made a pretty neat train level back in LBP1. A few rough edges of course, but I bet he now has enough experience to make an awesome LBP2 version. | 2011-10-05 09:50:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
There was also that train level using the 3D glitch...but it was more a steampunk universe...and if I recall the trains were all pretty much attacking the players. | 2011-10-05 22:02:00 Author: celsus Posts: 822 |
[QUOTE=11204;936193]Or more preferably (by me)/QUOTE] How have I never seen this before? I still kind of think Victoria's first level in LBP2 was Mm showing us how to make train levels right (as opposed to bomb surviavals). I'd love to see another good trian level, I'll have a look for the ones you guys mentioned. | 2011-10-09 11:18:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
