SACULES: The 12th Labor

This is my 1st entry for the legends comp. It is a movie based on the 12th labor of Hercules. You wake up on MT. Olympus waundering what happened and find out you have been chosen by the gods to avenge the great Hercules. Your journey begins as you make your way to the Underworld in search of Cerberus. If you complete you task Zeus will make you a GOD.... Sacules.

Here's my promised review for the film/level.

First of all, let me say that you Sacronauts brought the legend of Hercules back to life with this awesome series. This introduction shows that Greek mythology is perfectly doable in LBP2. Character design is very well done. You can instantly see who's who (except maybe for Demeter) and you used a lot of humor in it as well, which turned out really well. One thing though. In your second level I've seen what you two are capable of, but it doesn't quite as well show in the introduction in terms of detail. I think that you could do an even better job on this and make the city of the Gods stand out even more.

That was pretty intruiging. I sure hope the gameplay (if there's to be any) will be just as good. All in all, I'd say that was a pretty faultless intro. I think make add a bit more detail to the chain as your going down it a good 15 seconds. Maybe a bird flying past in the backround (or seen as though your taking a few hints from GOW3 maybe try and re-create those things that Kratos latches onto with his blades to get accross large gaps). To be honest there's not much more I can say because as I said, it was pretty **** faultless.

Qeued this level! I was very intrigued by the pictures and the logo
As for F4F, would you mind giving feedback on my Wooden Works: Part 1, as you see in my signature?

I played this level and it was really well made!
I also liked that you added humor in there because greek gods and stuff can get somewhat boring without anyone lightening the mood with some good 'ol humor.

Though the moods seemed a little off to me. Why was my Sackboy angry all the time?

Watched this film. Hilarious to no end, and the backdrop was great. One suggestion though, could you speed up the pace? I was eager to know what will happen but I had to wait a few secs every dialogue to see the next one.

If you got the time, would you mind checking out my level. It is similar to your level in terms its theme and it has some humour to it. But don't expect anything like yours though as it is a LBP1 level.

He is angry all the time because the gods kidnapped him lol, Glad you enjoyed the level.

First Impression: Pigeon! What a great touch. The scenery is incredible and you used the layer glitch very effectively to create a full Greek feel. The characters look very much as they should according to Greek mythology

The flower creation with Demeter looked awesome. Very simple, but awesome.

Maybe touch up your grammar in the speech bubbles. (Your/You're, capitalizations, etc)

Nice lighting effects when you're by Zeus and he fires off a little warning shot. Title screen was very well done also, I really enjoyed the breaking-off effect. Hermes was introduced well haha, made me laugh a bit.

Cronus is incredibly detailed, again well done, as is Charon. I liked how you made the coin flip into the river Styx, as that could have been very boring and simple but you made sure that it wasn't the case.

Overall: Fantastic level, definitely worth watching. I'm off to play the second one! 		2011-07-29 20:24:00

I will look into the speech bubble grammer thx for pointing that out i went over it like 10 times. and Demeter was better looking but for some stupid reason the valentines day pack is regional. and since these levels were co op built with my good friend storcken, i had to change so he was able to work his magic		2011-07-30 17:08:00
