Scenario n1: I joined my friend recently and he was in someone esle pod.I slapped the host for fun since he was slapping a other dude in the pod and he kicked me. 0.o Scenario n2: I published prince of persia and i got many friend request. I added a couple of them who was begging to be friend with me.Ok then She invited me, she showed me one of her level she was working on in play mode. i slapped her and she got really mad at me and kicked me. 0.o Scenario n3: I invited my friend to join my pod to chill, his friend came with him. His friend slapped me like 5 time streak, so i decided to slap him too and he told me to stop or he would leave. I stoped....We played a level online and he slapped me and i fall and died of course. I taked Revenge of course and he leaved. 0.o Scenario n4: Someone was having fun slapping me in my level in create mode, i was afk so he slapped me over 40 time xD. I started slapping him too and he was always missing me and i was always hitting him. He got angry and leaved. 0.o Scenario n5: Someone in my pod was afk, he wasn't doing anything so i slapped him. He didn't like it and told me to stop.It was weird since he wasn't doing anything so it won't bother.....10min later and slapped me,slapped back.....He left. 0.o Scenario n6: Joined a game Online,slapped the host....He kicked me. 0.o I usually slap when i'm bored and for fun since it's funny right? I was wondering...You people take it wrong when someone slap you?Btw this already happened to other people...I've seen many things. Back to the question...Slapping is bad? I mean, When i slap someone, i'm not angry at him or anything. Usually this should get you in a good mood. Of course slapping someone many time streak is annoying and yea i would kick you but slapping someone once or twice really make him kick you and/or get mad? Or I was unlucky and i always found myself playing with young kids that take everything personal ?

I'm not a fan of slappers myself. The only time I slap someone is to stop them hugging me (lol, only in little big planet does that sound acceptable). Not that I'm averse to a slap-fest, if the other sacks start messing around... but I'll never initiate it. It's rude to slap people (unless you know them, or know they're not going to take it the wrong way - seems to me that's where you're making your mistake)

I usually don't slap people unless they deserve it... Pretty much if they continuously slap me, or keep "hugging" me. Usually the only people who slap me are random dive in monsters people, which I rarely play with

If it was rude MM wouldn't have added that ability. By the same logic it's not rude to kick players, because Mm included that as well. Note: I get slapped by stranger some time and it doesn't make me mad or want to kick them. Another logical mistake. You are not other people, and they are not you. All I can advise is to use a bit of caution and try to empathize with other players. If you can't predict the result of a slap, it's best to restrain yourself. I recognize you're posting this for community discussion though.

The only times I hate slappers are when: -They beat you up against a wall in versus games. -At the scoreboard in versus games, where they come and beat you up again. -Dual slappers that volley you back and forth. -When people slap you out of hover mode so they can kill you when you're looking for something in your popit, or changing your costume. -When they place that stupid, highly copied sackbot super slapper that slaps you to the point where you're helpless. Slapping is more irritating than it is fun(ny). It's fun(ny) when you've just discovered it, but there's a point when it is no longer fun(ny). And that's when you're the one who gets slapped. If your friend is messing up the progress of your level, go ahead and slap them. (I mean, you're the game host; those who joined are obligated to obey you.) But if you're just going around slapping random people off platforms to their death just to go "LOL I PWND U XD" then you shouldn't get mad if they leave or slap you back.

I have a max of if the amount of times a person can slap me, if you hit me three times in a row....warning...keep doing it....kick slap me to my death...warning...do it agian...kick slap me for no reason...warning..warning....warning.....kick. i'm a teenager and itannoys me. Tbh, slapping is only fun if you know the person, or if the other person tells you if were gonna have a slap fight... But thats just me. =/

I could care less about slapping. I thought it was funny in the first LBP, and I still think it's funny in the second. True, I rarely do it now these days... but then again, no one hangs out with me anymore ;_; (and NOT because I'm a slapper).

Some people don't understand the concept of apologizing after slapping by accident. I find that I only slap people I know really well because we know we're only joking and goofing around. Kids on the other hand, there's no help for them. Just be glad there isn't a fight button in this game lol. As for you slapping people, never start the slap first unless it's a friend you know. If they start first, either ask why they did it or slap back. Works for me most of the time. Now randoms? That's a different story. I automatically leave when I know it'll turn into a slapfest (thank goodness I got the Dive In pin finished). Bottomline: Slapping isn't bad. It's just that some people get too riled up. Also, it's bad manners to slap people you hardly know. This is just my opinion.

I have done scenario 2, 5 and 6 and those scenarios understand I. 2: It's kinda like you treated their level like it was nothing. ( though I have never begged someone to add me) 5: I use to get annoyed when people slap me for no reason 6: Strangers= No mercy. Some times can it be funny but for the most is it not. strangers which just come in and slap me think I they are just 7-9 years or jerks. And I answear not for all people out there just for me self

I have fun slapping but I only do it when I am in the pod or Create Mode. I only do it for fun and don't slap people when playing a level or when they are trying to build something @LBNinja Which slapper sackbot are you talking about? I have made a slapping Sackbot myself and I am wondering if it is similar to the one that is copied.

Of course slapping is not okay. Don't you know that we feel the actual punches in our real faces? It's extremely painful. My point: I don't see why it's such a big deal to slap unless it kills you and you're trying to ace. A tip: Next time someone slaps you, take them to a Slapfest level so they know what to expect.

It is a game, and as such, is all in good fun. Slapping someone in LBP is no more rude then "hugging" them and pulling them around, albeit with a satisfying "smack!" sound.

Slapping is really fun when you're in your pod or in create mode. What some people don't understand is that this is just a game and not some sort of competition. Of course you can get unlucky and "accidentally" slap another player in a level and send them to their doom, but still, I think slapping was just meant to be used for fun and not harm to other players.

I think most of you guys are over-thinking this. If you slap somebody and they get mad, leave, or kick you, you're better off without them--find people who aren't such sticks in the mud to hang out with instead. Sure, if I'm trying to do something serious like test a section of my level or ace a particularly tough level and I get slapped in the middle of it, I might not be too happy but I wouldn't be livid or anything. For the most part, though, a slap is just something funny and then I'll try to chase them down and slap them back. But then I only hang out with people who don't suck, so there's that... I once had a guy on my friend list who flipped out after I slapped him and then he got angry again when I used a jetpack to carry him through a short section of a level that we'd been through several times and he got all angry again. He's not on my friend list any more.

Oh come on. Slapping is here, so let's use it. It's an awesome feature that expresses how much you are annoyed by this other person who refuses to move or tries to run ahead of the crowd in a co-op level. If they are upset over it, it's their problem. If they don't like revenge slaps, it's also their problem. Part of life is karma, so people should expect wrong if they do wrong. Slap first, get slapped back. All sorts of things can apply to that.

I think all of those people just overreacted. It's a game, for Pete's sake. Slapping is only a funny little animation. There are even three separate pins you are rewarded if you do it! (Got all three ). I only don't like slapping if it's repetitive and interfering. Like if you're trying to walk casually to your controller and someone slaps you away from it. There are just some sensitive kids on sometimes and you know how they always have to get the last laugh. Even if it means kicking. The best thing to do is say sorry if they are offended (even if it's only a game). Always works. But if you want to get fancy with slapping, try waiting 'till they're about to jump, and them punch them. They go flying!

And really, like many others have said, if they get majorly offended because their character, a beanbag that's repeatedly electrocuted, burnt and completely annihilated and mutilated, in a videogame focused around creativity and having fun, gets slapped... they're not even worth your time. It's like saying the martyrdom you tried picking up and throwing in Call of Duty exploded in your hand and you ragequit; it's funny, and it happens. Let's be cereal, guise. i think it's rude to slap someone without reason. only scenario i've been slapping people is after a fun round of versus games -where i lost (but i don't go around looking desperate to slap them -running around wawing my arm that is- no i usually just look sad stand still and wait for them to get close xD), i can be slapping down friends i know since months ago too -but only if they started first. (and even then i wont slap 'em back unless they did it twice or slapped me down a cliff. after the first hit i usually try to avoid 'em and change my expression to scared )

I don't usually get kicked for slapping. I slap a lot but I don't usually start it. It seems like 80% of the time I'm hanging out in someone's pod, we have a slap fight (that I don't usually start) and we are fine with it. Personally, I don't care too much for slap fights because you are helpless half of the time. What I like is slapping someone to their doom. If they are just standing there, I can't resist. It's so worth it (I proudly display the pin for it on my profile ) Also, when someone's afk in create mode and hovering, I place a dark matter block by them, stand on it, and slap them out of the air. I then attempt to use a thruster to launch them across the level but they usually come back by then. Plus they are ok with it, they don't kick me. Also: Next time you're bored, may I suggest sticking a giant nose decoration on them instead? Yes! I love doing that!

I do enjoy slapping people (and evading their slaps ) But you have to admit it gets a tad annoying when the other person does NOTHING but slapping for 20 minutes, especially in versus games where you can continuously slap. Doesn't mean I'd want slapping gone though.

I'm okay if a friend does it once or twice, but I think its rude when somebody you barely know comes into your pod/level/etc and starts slapping you. I would never do that to somebody because IMO it gets annoying real quick.

A general rule of thumb for me: If I slap, even in revenge, I get kicked. If I slap when hosting, even in revenge, the victim leaves. However, people think that it's still OK to slap me.... hypocriticism....

I don't get why everyone goes raegquit about slapping, as told by the OP. Imo it is just a silly little fun-slap, where your controls are disabled for less than two seconds - less for the slappee - and some people have a short temper as to leave/kick you at one slap. Sure, I can understand that a guy immediately slapping me would be a bit random and slightly irritating, but I'd just forget it and carry on. Even though I wouldn't often do it if I joined someone else, it would still be a bit easier for everyone if they just took it as a joke. But i suppose that if alot of people do get angry by it, I'd try refrain from doing it. I think I'm just a bit less irritated by it, that's all.

I'll slap people occasionally, but all in good fun. I for one have never encountered a person that dislikes slapping. As for slapping people to their doom, I didn't even know that was possible until I was playing a few weeks ago, and slapped someone, and they fell into fire (The Girly sackbot level in the Factory OABT), and they got mad at me and called me a pin hunter, and I didn't even know there was a pin, or that it could be done.
