I went on lbp this morning, everything was fine. Then I had to leave for a bit, when I came back, wierd things started happening. First, when I started the game, I was given the intro sequence for when you first started the game. That couldn't be right. I was in my profile, except everything was gone. Except it wasn't. You see, I had lost all my story data, my costume was reset, plus, my pod had been wiped clean. However, my costume still was available from my list. When I checked my moon, all the levels were still intact and on my earth, everything was still there. My pins had also been wiped clean, but once I logged on to the online servers, I started getting all my pins for the levels I had made. When I tried to enter a level on my moon, it said "Failed to load level". In create mode, things were even stranger, all my objects, including story ones were still there, except most of them turned into those red star-like screwed up were still usable. I had lost all my poppit things, so I had to run through the tutorials to get them. However, whenever I got a new tool for the tools bag, it had one of those red things and was unusable. Finally, whenever I tried to save anything, it said "Unable to save recent data due to unknown error" or something like that. Sorry about all this text but I really need help with this. Is my profile gone for good? Would I be farther ahead by loading one of my backups? Does loading a backup make you lose your recently published levels? Please try to answer any of these questions and I will be very grateful to you.

WHOA! that sounds terrible! worse than spawnpopcancer, even! could you use a backup, or did you lose them, too?

A backup stores everything you've done, up to that point, and that point only. Try this. Backup your current profile to another slot. Load that backup. If problem continues, load an older backup. You will lose everything done between now and when that backup was made though. Sorry.

You will lose everything done between now and when that backup was made though. Sorry. Unless you published your recent work. Even if roll back your profile, anything published to the servers will still be intact, so you can copy that stuff back to your moon and continue working on it. This is why it's always a good idea to publish locked versions of your current work in progress after each creating session.
