Community Spotlight Complete Level List, Now with PSN and level for easy access!

Archive: 70 posts

Here is a compiled list of all levels that have been featured in the LBPCentral Community Spotlight. All of these can be accessed in the "Hearted Levels Page" of the PSN:LBPCSotlights remember there is NO P. The level to search for to find the creator is called LBPCentralSpotlights, search for it, heart the creator, and then enjoy the levels!

For the most part levels featured in the most recent Spotlights are near the top, besides that they are in no particular order and have with them a brief description that was featured in the original Community Spotlight. I will keep this list up to date, as more levels are featured in future Community Spotlights. If any links are off or anything please inform me.

Man... if these are all as good as the one's I've played - Voltiares, Sackhouette, Azure Palace, and Midnight Train then this is the list to end lists.

I hope they also eventually feature You Are the Sun by Psudonym, your Timmy's Dream level, and the Sackboy's Infero series by sighwhatever,, and Improvisation #1 by Berg 443 - I don't think they post here though, so probably not.

All of these levels are amazing. LBP central has the best creators in the LBP community imo. 2008-12-13 21:00:00

LOL I just spent the last couple of hours writing out all the community spotlight levels from all the 3 rounds so far so I could play them all
Would have made it easier for me if you would have done this earlier
Good idea though as it's easier to have them all in one place

Personally I haven't played them all but I went and played that Return to Singe Ruins and it was fantastic. I'm feeling optimistic about the rest of them.

Thanks for the recognition by spotlighting my level, it really makes me feel great and I hope people enjoy my level.

Is there still a place I can find the first 2 spotlight lists? I didn't get a chance to play them all.

Great list. I just edited the layout quite drastically, so it more closely matches the actual Community Spotlight. Do me a favor and retain the current layout from now on.

Where is SuperPhillip: The Game?

I bet you all died in the tutorial level and hated it because you couldn't beat it, you n00bs. lololololol

SuperPhillip gets the last laugh yet again! :hero:

I'm kidding, of course. I do that a lot, so be mindful of that. However, I am certainly not kidding when I say congratulations to everyone, and I will be playing your spotlighted levels all day Sunday. Great work, guys, gals, and everyone in-between!

Very nice list. Has anyone considered creating a PSNid for this spotlight? Have all the levels listed hearted so they're really easy to find. A one stop user for all the great levels from the community.2008-12-14 22:31:00

That's a good idea, but there is a problem: Max 20 levels can be published, you'd have to make a new PSN for every 20 levels you want to make.

The problem is still with the darned serch engine in-game. I tried finding this Christmas level from the Extravaganza thread... I got through 5 pages of stuff that said winner and levels about falling when I typed "the fall of winter" in the search box. Couldn't the first thing that pops up be the thing you wrote??! I still don't get how broken that system is. Once they fix that, we'll ba able to find whatever, whenever!

This is such a great idea
If done properly t should be great for finding good levels to play

@ Hex
If you do make one it should be called something to do with this site like LBPC's Community Spotlight
Maybe CC should make one as if you decided to just leave and delete it we would loose it. (suppose we could make another lol)

Ok, whichever I don't mind making it (even if I stop using this site I won't delete it) in fact I already made the email. They can make one if they want and if they do I will delete the one I am making.

I say go for it, it's not like it's rocket science, and as long as it's made it can be managed by whoever needs to manage it. Good initiative! And I'm eagerly anticipating it, as the search system is quite discouraging to find all these great levels!2008-12-15 16:04:00

Soo, I have been kinda busy but I have almost gotten all the levels hearted on the account I made. I realized something though. You can only rate and heart a level once on an account right? That means if people were to use this dummy account it would mean potentially less hearts and rating for the creators. I'm not sure I wan't to do that, what do you guys think?2008-12-16 17:12:00

The players will play from their own accounts and they can heart and rate it themselves. Other people won't be logging onto that PSN... they'll just use the hearts it has put out there as an in-game list.

Next time you're in there, add me as a friend!

Great work dude
Just make sure you keep it up to date
Wow this will be such a better way to just find the Spotlight levels
And really you don't have to worry about being friends with the PSN as all you have to do is heart the PSN name (creator) and then you can just go to the name that way and find all the levels hearted my that PSN
This way their is a unlimited amount of people that can access the hearted info instead of just the PSN friends limit
Hope you get what I'm rambling on about lol
All the said though ADD ME AS WELL

Ok, I finally finished the PSN that has all and only the community spotlighted levels hearted. The PSN is:LBPCSotlights, there is NO P.
It wasn't taken BTW I just made a typo and then spent about 2 hours hearting all those levels and you can't change the PSN name. Anyway, enjoy!

That's true, of course... but right now I'm trying to figure out how to heart it at all since the search returns levels and not creators. I tried looking in Hex's hearted players, but it doesn't appear that he's hearted it yet. Know any other ways to get there?

That's a good idea, and name it something like LBPCSPTLGHT, in other words something unlikely to turn up many search results. And then put the official LBPC Sticker as the Patch Icon so it will also be easy to spot visually.

Funny quote from urbandictionary :

matt: why do you say "kk"?
michelle: its like "ok," but more thoughtful. i took the time to type an extra "k."

michael: why don't you say, "okay"?
michelle: too long.
michael: oh, so you care enough to type an extra "k," but not an "a" and "y"?
michelle: exactly

Some of the links to the level threads are broken. At least Solidplace, Treetop Escape and Color of Sound take you to the front page of LBPC.2009-01-03 10:41:00

Here's the link to solidplace if it's needed.

Hey Hex!

Great job on the level overview and thanx for mentioning my level (Machinima Jungle) as well Just one thing I noticed is that the name of the level is red. Why is that?

Cheers!

Whatever it was it is fixed now. I am unfamiliar with the format used in this thread and was unable to maintain it. I can no longer take credit for its updates, I only keep the LBPCSotlights PSN updated.

At least Treetop Escape's link is still broken. The link has lbpcentral's url twice in it:

Wow... tons of levels in there I haven't even seen yet! As soon as I'm able to get back to the game, I'm going down the whole list. The few in the list I've played, I've enjoyed the hell out of (I checked, there's no hell left in any of the levels I played), so I'm REALLY looking forward to this.2009-01-19 06:24:00

I've tested drpacifist the domain and i didn't like it.... I got stuck in some complex green stairs that freezes my console with so many information to process simultaneously.............2009-02-17 01:25:00

yeah..... perhaps i've need to try harder... that stair section is very difficult and the game gets slow in that area.... perhaps it's because of the huge amount of information to process with the openned camera angle.... 2009-02-18 11:04:00

Hey guys, we're gonna do things a bit differently: instead of listing every level in one long list, we've got a nice forum (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=73) set up so you guys can view all of the Spotlights we've done. This way we cut out some of the extra work we've had to do, and it's easier to browse as well. The forum is a subforum under Front Page News, by the way.2009-03-26 04:38:00

Tks. That's very nice and convenient since this thread wasn't really updated lately.
