Hey guys. I'm playing Fallout 3 for the first time, I love it but holy cow is it filled with problems. At this point I almost think it's my ps3. At first it started with my game just freezing, now every once in a while it resets my ps3. Has anyone played this and had these problems on the ps3. i heard that the playstation version is filled to the top with problems but this seems a little much. Anyone? thanks!

Unfortunately, Fallout 3 is a bug-ridden game across all platforms and it (probably) isn't your PS3. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_bugs The thing is, your save files in the game simply get bigger and bigger and more bloated the more you explore and find stuff because the game is just so huge and saves actually have to keep track of almost everything that has occurred which tends to make lag and freezing more of an issue. It might be an issue with your PS3 if you actually haven't gotten that far in the game, though this is hard to judge as there really isn't any set pace anyone goes about playing the game.

The same thing happens to me too. It's probably not your PS3, it's the game lol, there's so much too it that it freezes and lags

I tried with some other games and all is good. I'm actually getting pretty far. I've been on a break from work and I easily put in 80 to 100 hrs. i collect everything and roam everywhere. Keep multiple saves, my auto save got corrupted by a mid save crash, fortunatly I had a recent manual save so not much progress was lost.

On a related note, looks like Fallout New Vegas has received another patch. Let's hope for more stability on that front as well... Edit: Well ****, can only max slot machine bets at 40 now (so long easy path to hundredthousandaire status) and they made Deathclaws and Cazadores less vulnerable to certain attacks.

I didn't have many problems with fallout 3. save often, save often. I had only a few freezes, but always had a recent save. have almost 200 hrs in this game

They made cazadores less vulnerable? Geez, they were annoying as hell already They're immune to mines while moving now (kinda makes sense since they fly...), Deathclaws are also generally harder to induce fatigue on. Personally, I've also noticed they are also a lot more perceptive now, making sneaking a lot harder.

Like biorogue said, save often. I can't play this for half an hour without it freezing on me, which is a shame as it is a brilliant game.

My game has never frozen on me, to be quite honest. I believe I've put tens of hours into it. I do agree though, save often. If it doesn't freeze, you might get stuck in a hole...

At least some glitches are funny. My brother was crackin' up yesterday. Somone who was non-hostile was in fist fighting stance but holding a assault rifle upside down in one hand. He was walking around and talking to other NPCs.

I had a funny glitch, fast travelled to Gun Runners, jumped onto path, a got flung up into the hair. Dies landing on the roof of gun runners

I tried using Eucid's c-finder for the first time and it didn't fire so waited a minute then i fast traveled to gun runners to buy a gun that does work and the laser from the c-finder decides to launch it self at me after the loading screen knocking my follower and crippling me and leaving me at deaths door. This is new Vegas btw but every fallout is giltchy also in new vegas i saw the deputy sheriff from the quest my kind of town in primm with his head caught in the ceiling those are the weirdest things that have happened to me in fallout
