Ever wonder why the game was named Little Big Planet? Im not even sure what that really is supposed to mean. Not that i could think of a better name or that it really matters, but you know.

"Little Sack, Big Planet", would be more fitting for that, however it doesnt have the same ring to it. that name sounds like a movie or something. while most people never really think about the name, i think its something more like: though the game seems little, it is actually very big, being as you can never really finish (as kevin butler will tell you). theres always more to do

By scale, it's a little planet, but if we were to be the size of sacks it would be a big planet. We are a normal big planet, but it is a Little Big Planet.

It's little - isn't Sackboy supposed to be around 8cm tall... but the fact that all levels are tied together through the cerumbilical chord makes it big - planet sized big! So it's Little Big Planet... makes sense to me.... even when Stephen Fry is talking that nonsense about ethereal dreamscapes etc

I think it's supposed to represent surrealism. It's a dream world, right? Nothing can really be big and little on the same scale at the same time, but anything's possible in a dream. Too cheesy? .__.

I love a good oxymoron - as already has been said, nothing can be Big AND Little at the same time! Maybe the Little talks about the actual size of the planet, whilst the Big talks about the opportunities present?
