Rocket Jumping!

My friends and I have been really into making multi player versus combat levels! Most Being similar to Rocket Funland but we're getting more creative the more we learn! Our current ambition is making a rocket (or what ever we shoot) hat that upon firing thrust you back. So that you actually have to plan your shots out. or maybe one that could give you an extra boost if shot down while jumping! However, I can't seem to even come close... I'm still learning the logic stuff but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or maybe already figured this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated and i would be eternally grateful for you help!

I'm Pretty good with cameras in LBP2, I have also developed a series of Platforms for versus levels. i would love to share ideas!
I unfortunately don't have PSN at the moment but i would gladly post tutorials. via private message or in the boards if anyone would like!

1.Make players control Sackbots.

2.Add a "Repel" tag with a timer(About .5 or so) to the object

3.Add a follower set to "Flee" from the "Repel" tag

That should be all

Yeah, 1 thing to note is that you'll have to use custom checkpoints if you go down the sackbot route, as sackbots aren't compatible with regular ones.
Pretty sure somebody made a video tutorial on that..

couldnt you put a trigger thruster or trigger mover on the rocket? also you can make the player move back on a controllinator by using a basic mover with left and right speed set to (distance here)2011-07-03 13:58:00

1. Why would you need a mover on the rocket it already has one

2.Putting a basic mover on the player would only move you left/right not away from the rocket like he wants

1. you didnt understand, you put the thruster on the player so the player moves backwards, duh

2. put the key to fire the rocket on something like X and put the basic mover facing away from where the rocket launches, this will make the player move back (ive tested this and the direction is where the arrow or microchip is facing)

Make rocket with a tag on it, follower to flee the tag. Alternatively, set a mover with local space on to move the player back. Local Space let's the Mover change direction as it is rotated, so set it to rotate by aiming.2011-07-06 06:03:00
