Uh-oh! The Creator's Toolkit is corrupted! Help!

(For more information about the Creator's Toolkit, go here: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48053-Creator-s-Toolkit-A-toolkit-full-of-tools-that-make-creating-faster-and-easier.&highlight=creator%27s+toolkit)
(I've temporarily taken back control because bagheadinc is swamped with work)

A weird bug has invaded the Creator's Toolkit. It makes it lag when you hover over it's circuitboard. It's not because of how much stuff is in it - i've tested that. No, every part of the Creator's Toolkit has somehow become corrupted and no matter what you take out of it or if you move the parts out of the chip, it stays laggy. (Although removing some categories reduces a bit of the lag). The weird part, is that the lagginess only applies when the chip is uneditable - when I bring out my own editable copy, there is no lag, which is how this bug passed by me in the first place.
So I found a solution, which is to put the Creator's Toolkit into a copyable level. Because it is editable, it doesn't lag. But I want to use this as a last resort, because people will undoubtetly take credit for it. Does anyone know another solution?

Don't make the level copiable and file a bug report to MM.2011-07-02 07:15:00

Seems as though I was ninja'd by Omega. Making the level copyable would be the worst thing to do, since once people have it you can't contain it. Like Omega stated just report the bug to MM, and hopefully they'll get on it. I did however read that thread that you posted, and it was stated the placing the objects on a new chip seems to fix it....if that doesn't permanently fix it then report is the next step.2011-07-02 07:24:00

How much is on the Toolkit anyway? I've never grabbed any recent versions.

Have you tried removing recent additions?

I've tried that, but it doesn't work. As far as I know, the content itself is corrupted, not the chip.

About 60 or more chips and tools, including some physical objects in emitters. Removing recent additions doesn't work for some reason. It stays laggy, though the lag becomes a bit less. It seems like everything that was inside the chip has become corrupted.

Does there happen to be a copy of the items on the kit? This way it can just be reconstructed. Since it is apparent that the items weren't corrupted before they were added to the chip.2011-07-02 07:37:00

Not all of them. Only some. But, I think that when I capture each chip and tool individually, they DON'T lag. I could use this to indeed reconstruct a lagless version. It'd take a lot of work (but if necessary, I will do it). But first I need to check if I am right and if the chips indeed do not lag if individually captured.

And...a thing I just thought now.
I don't think it could be the case, but lately we have experienced bugs that corrupts profiles too, so copiable levels is a BIG no.

Robbit, contacting the creators of the one that don't have a copy would be the next step. I'm pretty sure that if they deemed it worthy of the toolkit they have a copy of it saved.2011-07-02 07:59:00

I just tried reconstructing the Toolkit by capturing every category individually and putting them on a new chip. I found out several things in the process: Some chips in the Special FX category cause lag, the Misc category causes a lot of lag, and the physical objects inside emitters cause a lot of lag. They didn't do this before v7.0. I think it has to do with the amount of tools, because when I delete about 4 categories, the lag is gone. I've tried splitting up the chip, but bundling them together on a piece of material makes for a very laggy piece of material that disconnects everyone except yourself when placed - not very useful. I could also just give away each splitted chip seperately, but people have gotten used to it being one chip only. Ah well, I guess 3 chips isn't so bad.
Unless someone has a different solution?

EDIT: Well, I decided to go with the split up solution. Works fine. I think it was the amount of stuff on one chip - too much stuff on one chip and the game says NO! That's not a bug, then, and so it is not worthy of reporting.
