Can I get the LBP1 'goodies' on LBP2 if I don't have the save?

| This is really annoying, I'm missing out on so many items to use in create. I'm not trying to cheat, I have platinumed LBP1, but have got a new PS3 since. I didn't back up my saves and so don't have my old profile any more. I want to play LBP2 so I don't really want to complete LBP1 all over again. Anybody know what I can do to get the items? I've tried to use a 100% save from the internet, but when I load up LBP1 it says corrupt file, and on LBP2 when I try to 'import LBP1 items' it says 'can't do it, this is from another user's profile'. | Only way to get the items is to play LBP1 and get them the good ol' fashioned way.
