I still don't get why MM are commemorating the 4th of July at all... seeing as MM is a British company and what the 4th of July actually represents.

And yet they don't release costumes for St. Andrews day (Scottish Nationals Day), St.Georges day (English Nationals Day), St. Davids day (Wales' National Day) - but do for St. Patricks?!( what have MM got to do with Ireland?!).

Not even a Big Ben costume or anything ?!

the statue of liberty is french for one thing so it crosses nationalities also they could have made an uncle sam costume that would have been more suitable if they were really only trying to sell this to americans2011-06-30 23:36:00

if you look at the big picture, it looks like they are just releasing American holidays because they probably make most of their money from DLC from users in America, even though they are a British company.2011-06-30 23:43:00

I'm not about to complain about a free costume... Incidentally, there is a clock costume already (not a holiday one, it's in game).

I still wish they'd release an Easter one and a New Year's one, and a Jester for April Fool's (Even though they have the perfumes).

Oh, and speaking of multicultural... Cince De Mayo and Chinese New Year. Those aren't American... (Thanksgiving is though).

Cince De Mayo is celebrated in America, atleast I've always known lots of people to celebrate. I live in California. There is also a lot of Asian speaking people where I live, so I guess I just see the holidays as being celebrated here.

It's not politically correct, I guess.

It's madness gone politically correct!

Nah, I'm not angry or upset or anything.
After all it's still a free costume (and the hand torch is a cool piece).

But it's yet another example of the creeping Americanisation of Britain... and how Britain is forgetting that it has a richer, far older culture of it's own that could be exploited in the form of a Sackboy costume

As for "They make their money from America" - actually Europe is the bigger games market. And considering it's the companies "home" market - you'd think they'd have more content tailored to that.

Maybe an Excalibur pack could make up for it?2011-07-04 22:30:00

Maybe an Excalibur pack could make up for it?

Now, How awesome would that be?

A nice King Arthur kingly beard, plus a royal tunic and an understated crown (just a simple band of gold with some celtic symbols textured on);
A cool Merlin outfit.
Some nice shiney metal Knights Armour, for Lancalot etc
And a Medieval Princess' costume for Guinevere

And an Excalibur Sword object - with glowing celtic patterns on it. And a round table to 'round' things off.

Not sure what holiday it would be given away with (maybe May Day?)
But it would be an awesome pack

If you're looking in the in-game store, keep in mind it might not be on the first page of DLC. If you're looking on the Playstation Store, keep in mind it's LBP 1 DLC so it would probably be tucked away there.2011-07-08 05:41:00

I didn't even think about looking in the LBP1 DLC. I did look though... Anyway, does anyone know if it is still available or am I SOL? Thanks community.2011-07-18 22:57:00
