Wind Survival

I just had an awesome idea for a new type of survival challenge. It's called Wind Survival. You have some time to get to safety, but once the siren goes off, heavy wind starts blowing stuff everywhere, which can blow things over and crush Sackboy. If blowing debris hits things enough, it will knock over and become debris. You get points by either surviving each 5 seconds, or collecting point bubbles blowing in the wind. The game ends once everyone is dead. You are safe if you are behind a wall, but the wall can eventually be knocked over if hit by large debris.

What do you guys think? Would you play this?

I don't like survivals because they're all the same but this still sounds fun (Before it gets spammed everywhere)
How do you plan on making the wind work? Movers?

This sounds like a very cool idea! Shouldn't be 'too' difficult to produce either.

Since this is the first of its kind, you should probably try to make it perfect. Music, visuals, (dialogue?), etc.

I used pelicanthor's idea for cows.

It's nowhere near finished, but it's kinda playable.

I think that after a while, you should make it so the wind becomes a tornado that causes the ground to break up and become debris. Before you know it you're flying in the sky with nothing to stand on but small pieces of land. I even foresee a Wizard of Oz reference when a house flies by in the background.2011-06-29 18:40:00

I like the sackbot idea, make little sackbots screaming waving there arms, grabbing onto debris, trying to grab onto you... etc. I think this would be a fun level.

I'm having a bit of a problem. Once everything is blown over, now what? All there is left that blows is randomly emitted debris. But since randomizers aren't even random, it's gonna be the same every time. Anyone know a solution?2011-06-30 02:33:00

The tornado idea would be perfect. just put two modes on everything. Wind blowing to the sides, and tornado (reduced gravity, repel objects from ground so they stay in the middle, etc..)

I'm looking forward to this.
