Creating a Boss help

Hi guys,

Well........ I have a level (called Total Execution *wink wink*) and right now I'm working on the final part. So I need a boss for it and I was having troubles with concepts.

So I tried a boss who has preset motions which works really good but it's not really what I want.
Basically, I'm wondering if it's possible to have a large automated boss Follow the character.

It's a somewhat large robotic circle with a sackbot on the top controlling it. The shape is as large as you can get a sackbot to be. An example of the following I'm asking about would be like in the LoZ series (quickest reference I thought of) where all of the bosses look at you and follow you around slowly while still attacking you.

Love Zelda's bosses. Best bosses in any video game of all time imho. Yes. this would be very possible, and actually shouldn't be TOO hard to do if you are a decent enough logician. Is the level top down, side scrolling, or FP?2011-06-28 14:26:00

It's all over the place, but this one part is side-scrolling. Like the story mode of LBP1+2

A sackbot will be on top of the circle thing using a controllinator to fire things at the player.2011-06-28 14:55:00

Ok, then you can put a microchip on a circular piece of invisible holo and on it, have a folower set to maximum speed and accel, and a tag that is used to sense your sack thing. this, essentially gives your sack thing all the microchip options of a bot. I personally like this better, as it gives you a physical central hub for interacting with your sack thing. It can also work as a hitbox for whatever your boss fires at him.

Then, what you need to do, is set your boss bot to look at your sack thing, and have a rotating arm at the top of the circle (if im imagining this right) that will fire a projectile at your thing. Yeah... confusing in writing... but try it out.
