Sackboy Justice League: Training Ops

Archive: 9 posts

I started this level as an experiment in voice acting and decided to use it as a "training" level for my Pyrostilskin series. I created a new Munitions Kit which has the old tried and true wired explosive, but also added a timed explosive.

The level has an original score, LOTS of voice acting, and a few humorous moments.

The second half of the level features a creatinator loaded with Luos_83 heads.

Let me know what you think!

Really enjoyed myself there! Nice voice acting & ennervating tune. Those doors were cool indeed. Nice prizes. Good secret sections (I like the +50 lamps). Really liked the bomb-puzzle. Found the platforming section real tough, but manage to pull it off (sheer determination!)

Didn't get my anti-pontificating sticker at the end though! What's up with that???? (At least with old Pyro, you always knew in advance you would be swindled.)

Yikes! I'll try to figure that out when I get home tomorrow evening. Must have a glitch in the old logic somewhere.

Thanks for the kind words! I am thinking about making the entire level a little easier. I'm embarrassed to say I kind of rushed to publish the second half, because it took me so long to make the first half, I just wanted it out there, so I could start working on my next level.

So i just got around to playing this and it really caught me off guard. Just the great deal of thought that obviously went into the creation of the level.

Cinematic intros are always a double edged sword simply because there's always THAT guy who wants to skip 'em and get right into the thick of things, however I was just sucked into the fact that there was actually good voice acting in LBP. For the most part I totally didn't realize that the sound quality was iffy (Game's fault of course, not your's) just because I was enjoying the cut scene itself.

As mentioned before, really dig the music as well.

The level is definitely similar to the Mm story levels. And that is a very good thing.

Thanks, NS! Let me know if you have any levels you would like me to review!

@Punk: It helps if the level creator actually puts the sticker in the prize bubble. Taken care of and thanks!

Hi. Just played your level.

Pros:
- The futuristic environment and music.
- The voices, they're so clearly recorded and well pronounced.

Cons:
- In my opinion there are too many voice sequences...
- The first level ("part") is too short. The second part is less short but more difficult.

Please leave me feedback at my level https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=56955-Math-Millionaire-Quiz

Impressive level. It's filled with good ideas.

VISUALS:
The visuals looked crazy. Not only does this it have well put corner edits, but it also has a solid superhero training visuals.

SOUND:
Good custom music. The voice acting is intriguing, but it's a bit lengthy.

GAMEPLAY:
The time bomb part is interesting, but it's hard to fit the bomb into the block near the switch. The bounce pad part in the sub level is ridiculously challenging but fun. The creatinator part is simple but amusing.

OVERALL:
A fun platformer that has some clever challenging ideas. A yay and positive review.
