hello i would like to use my createnator as a spotlight helmet. ive seen this done before but dont remeber who did this. i dont wont a light that falls out of the helmet but just a shining spotlight that helps the player see where hes going. anyone here know??? | 2011-06-27 15:08:00 Author: pj15 Posts: 164 |
you could always try a invisible hologram with a light on it to follow you. Get out some holo meterial, create some as high as you and one layer thick, go into it's settings make it 0 brightness (this way it's invisible when you're playing the finished game). Then put a light on it, any choice. And just attach a follow chip onto the holo for it to follow you around (will need to be tweeked for it to follow you quickly). You also need to put a Gyroscope chip on it, so the holo and the light doesn't spin around you when you jump, damaged, etc. So make sure you put the arrow on this chip upwards. So it always returns back to that angle. That's the best I can think of that relates to your question. Good luck =] | 2011-06-27 15:32:00 Author: Unknown User |
OH also, with the follow chip. It's default settings have a downside, you'll need to go into the settings and make the minimum detection range = 0.0. Also, as I said with the speed of the follow chip. Just move the speed and strength of the follow chip the maximum speed. Speed = 100.0 Strength = 100% And if you're moving between 3 layers on your stage, just tick the option up the top in the follow chip settings for "Allow in-out movement". This way it follows you no matter what plain. Haha sorry for going into so much detail if you already knew most of this. Just better safe than sorry =]. Once again, good luck =] | 2011-06-27 15:43:00 Author: Unknown User |

Bear in mind you will have to be very careful about how you use thin layers if you're gluing a light to invis holo. The LED lights take up one thin layer, so you will have to be sure that everywhere Sack can go, there's no thin layers that would block the light. | 2011-06-27 17:14:00 Author: roux- Posts: 379 |
use one of the light boxes they are non solid and can be invisible | 2011-06-27 17:19:00 Author: Zero10100 Posts: 385 |

you can put decorations, such as a shiny one in this case, on the creatinator "emitter". | 2011-07-03 23:32:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
