Camera sequence at start of level

Archive: 9 posts

Hi, i am sure this question has already been answered but i cant seem to find it when I use search. My question is, how can I have a camera sequence start when entering the level without showing your sackboy at the entrance? Thx, btw english is not my first language, if there is any writing errors in my thread. 2011-06-26 20:05:00

You could have an Inverted player sensor near the spawn gate. Should work.2011-06-26 20:08:00

I have been working in this myself. Try putting the camera on a forwards/backwards (or positional) sequencer set so the camera us active when it starts, then use the sequencer to turn it off when it is finished.2011-07-01 09:06:00

Can you do this when 2, 3 or 4 players spawn at the same time, i.e. tick the all players required 'yes' option? Or does this cause problems. Just wondering if it detects a player what happends to the other players?2011-07-01 13:57:00

I had this problem a while back

I put my cameras on a sequencer and then put the starting point at the very beginning (where you click the sequencer with "square")

And then I put a large piece of rubber (or a material that blends in with your level) over the Entrance and put a deleter on it. On the sequencer, right after you start viewing it, put a toggle to delete the rubber.

That's my ghetto, non-logic way.

Also, for extra "coverage", you could put a player sensor on a anti-gravity box with a deleter on it and make the player sensor sense you right when you come out, and then delete the box with a toggle during the sequencer so you can't make it go off again.

Covering the start with rubber is a nice way to do it too.2011-07-01 17:49:00
