Anyone else getting tired of the music?
Archive: 30 posts
I hear them songs so many times, I start to get sick of them. Not all of them but a select few. Especially the LBP1 songs from the wilderness and temples. I almost want to set music in play mode off sometimes. The first time I heard "Whoever Brings the Night (Instrumental)" I loved it, But now I really dislike it. Anyone agree with me? (FUN FACT: If a song is (Instrumental) chances are the original had controversial lyrics ) | 2011-06-26 06:16:00 Author: DarrienEven Posts: 217 |
I love every LBP1-2 music except the one from the temple, asia, elephant watever those kind of music from LBP1. I've hated them from the beginning but except those i love them all. | 2011-06-26 06:19:00 Author: Sport_dude Posts: 622 |
Not everyone is acquainted enough with music to compose stuff in the music sequencer. There are many creators who give their own custom music as prize though. | 2011-06-26 12:34:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
I'm opposite, i really like to hear LBP1, reminds me times of my first days owning PS3 and enjoying LBP1 story levels (FUN FACT: If a song is (Instrumental) chances are the original had controversial lyrics ) Actually not, most likely lyrics was too intense and didnt fit to the game climate, for example Nightwish is opera metal and they sing very load, boss batles would sound odd with metal screaming | 2011-06-26 12:54:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Well Tapha Niang had LBP1 delayed because muslims found it offensive that the song and game had lyrics from the Quran. So they removed the words. Whoever Brings the Night had some... inappropriate lyrics. | 2011-06-26 19:14:00 Author: DarrienEven Posts: 217 |
I really hate the song Ghosts. It's just a bad song. | 2011-06-26 20:46:00 Author: GameRoom Posts: 200 |
I love the pre-composed music, but it seems too many people latch onto certain songs and neglect others that would be just as good. I'm sick of "A Go Go", "What Are You Waiting For", "Vision One", and the Eve's Asylum music, though I actually like "Vision One" a lot. Sometimes, I wish we could listen to music from the PS3 hard drive while we play, just like we can in create mode. | 2011-06-26 22:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
Sometimes, I wish we could listen to music from the PS3 hard drive while we play, just like we can in create mode. Yes. I always create to my own playlist, and especially for games where you pick the song, there could be an option to choose a song from your PS3. As for songs getting stale. Just a little bit. The great thing about music is that some songs you can listen to 1000 times and still want more. There are hundreds of songs up until the 1990s that I would love to listen to forever. | 2011-06-27 10:02:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |
I find that the good songs are overused to hell and back, even if it doesn't fit the level climate, and that's what irks me, not the actual song(s). | 2011-06-27 10:58:00 Author: Flamento Posts: 352 |
I still love the LBP2 music (even though I try to find new music for my levels). If you want some cool music, check out the jukeboxes by Tabycatmeow. They are amazing.... | 2011-06-27 16:30:00 Author: Godzilla Posts: 224 |
Its not so much a problem now that im playing lbp2, but i thought volver a comenzar was used a lot, I never really liked that one | 2011-07-01 15:53:00 Author: mrhollywood12345 Posts: 89 |
(FUN FACT: If a song is (Instrumental) chances are the original had controversial lyrics ) There wasn't really anything controversial about the lyrics of Sleepyhead. I think they use the instrumental versions because, well, the instrumental version is usually better. | 2011-07-01 18:36:00 Author: Chdonga Posts: 388 |
Unfortunately, not everyone can use Music Sequencer. I for one, have no idea how it works. | 2011-07-01 19:17:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
When I first got my copy of LBP2 I couldn't wait to start using the music sequencer. I played a bunch of music levels other have created and 95% where are the stupid hip hop songs that play on the radio (the ones that I change the channel when they come on) or very poor quality sequences of good songs. I made a bunch of run-through songs with the player sensor and speakers in LBP1 I'm familiar with LBP capabilities. I have made it my mission to make the best possible music sequences in the Classic Rock and 80's Pop category that can be found in LBP2. Some of the sequences I've made, you can almost hear the words. If you are tired of Sackbot recordings of copy-written music by 10 years, or lousy sequences of Lady GaGa, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and whoever is on the radio now, then try my jukeboxes! I have Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, the Pixies... the list goes on. There are 148 songs and 99% of them are free as long as you listen for 30 seconds. BOOOOO whoever said Ghosts was bad, freakin' awesome song! It got me hooked onto Ladytron! Not enough people use that song in their levels. I'm not really getting tired of all the music, though I think there are far too many levels that use Disco Divertimento, it's an all right song, but it's getting really repetitive. Anyway, It's hard to really get tired of all the music. So much diversity. | 2011-07-12 01:45:00 Author: Force Ten Posts: 60 |
I'm surprised that no-one mentioned the "stingers" and other music pieces form the Mm guys (like Daniel Pemberton and Kenneth Young, etc.). Some of my personal favorites is "The Good Old Days" and "Love". Their melodies are so soothing and quite passionate and really get your imaginative gears going, even though they're only a minute long at most. Other pieces like "Batteroo" and "Legend of Sack Sparrow" are very lively, very action-y pieces, and it always gets me excited when I hear them (makes me wanna do something EPIC). I personally thought that the MGS music and "Battle on the Ice" in LBP1 was WAAAY overused. But really, I'm fine with most of the music, minus the occasional bass-only songs. Oh, and... listening to "Rock Your Body Rock" right now. It sounds awesome. | 2011-07-12 06:22:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
My favorite song is My Advice Part 2. It is so calming. | 2011-07-12 06:51:00 Author: StaticLinuxpro Posts: 482 |

It fits absolutely no level and people seem intent on using it. As for LBP1's definitely battle on ice, and the MGS music went through my head. | 2011-07-12 10:10:00 Author: Tecnoguy1 Posts: 206 |
Nope, absolutely not. I commonly find my Sackboy dancing to some of the tunes rather than despising them. | 2011-07-12 15:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
I love all of the tunes. Well, not all of them. I've heard "The Wilderness" thousands of times, "Battle on the Ice" gets annoying, and "Ghosts" is very, very, VERY annoying. I don't like the singer's voice. It's true, some songs get repetitive, but that gives you a chance to make or listen to new songs | 2011-07-14 01:53:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |

YESSS!!! I am sick of hearing story-mode music, because it's more overused than Katy Perry's Firework, Lady Gaga's Poker Face, and any Sound System 009 songs on YouTube COMBINED!!! It drives me insane when I am capable of playing at least 4 instruments and no one bothers to listen to my music except moser-tron and killer_raito... | 2011-07-14 06:35:00 Author: 49er Nation Posts: 429 |
I hope MM will eventually decide to implement these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo9ThcHGOIw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3i3vj2ztO0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-QQoNwYJZI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erEzz4YPcwM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGqPg14WzPc&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6XWI3Ff4-w&feature=related I know there are a couple more, but I can't remember them at the moment. | 2011-07-14 06:54:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |

I like all of the songs, and I don't dislike hearing them, I just can't stand it when they're used out of place. One of the reasons I'm so glad we have the music sequencer is because of how forced most of the songs in LBP 1 community levels seemed. I would honestly rather hear nothing at all in a level than a song that doesn't fit with what's going on. As for being able to play music during a level from the PS3, I'm personally hoping they never add that as a feature. It would suck to work really hard on making songs for your levels that fit just right only to have people ignore them to listen to something else. I would suggest the compromise of it being an option the level creator could decide on, but then too many levels would get voted down just because the creator didn't want someone listening to The Beatles* in their serious level. *I absolutely love The Beatles, and in no way am trying to put them down. They're purely an example. | 2011-07-19 07:37:00 Author: Marioface5 Posts: 73 |
...And here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCKUyOVphqc That's my favorite tune on the album. | 2011-07-19 11:49:00 Author: Tecnoguy1 Posts: 206 |
Wow those songs are awesome. Why aren't they in the game? | 2011-07-19 11:52:00 Author: DarrienEven Posts: 217 |
I would suggest the compromise of it being an option the level creator could decide on, but then too many levels would get voted down just because the creator didn't want someone listening to The Beatles* in their serious level. Because most kids today listen to The Beatles. Just being realistic. | 2011-07-21 00:06:00 Author: GameRoom Posts: 200 |
Because most kids today listen to The Beatles. Just being realistic. As I said, it was an example. Also, there are plenty of people who play LBP who aren't kids. | 2011-07-21 03:19:00 Author: Marioface5 Posts: 73 |
I'll admit, I am getting tired of listening to LBP2 music now. | 2011-07-21 08:43:00 Author: Unknown User |
