Jump cancel advice =S

OKay, so I have myself a attack which my sackbot preforms when you holds L1 and press X. Problem is, he jumps while doing the move. Is there a way to cancel out the jump, while holding L1?
And if so, is it possible to cancel out other moves. For example: On my square button I have myself a mel?e attack, but I wanna have another attack when I also hold L1 and press Square. Can I cancel out my square attack, while holding L1?

I assume you have L1 and X wired up to an AND Gate, Wired up to a Sackbot Behaviour chip. On said Sackbot's Behaviour chip Uncheck "Allow Jump"

Also I think you can make the sackbot change things, say when you hold L1. and Square you can wire it up to a different Action. Have L1 wired up to a NOT gate, then wire that up to an OR Gate for every action, so that when you press L1 it cancels everything out. Attach Square and L1 to AND gate and wire that To your Action. Do this for every action. Lemme know if this works.

I'm not sure if I entirely understand your problem, but here goes
I think you have it wired up so X is jump? If you do, put down an AND Gate and make it so that you need to press X and have a tag sensor switch NOT activated.
Then when you perform the L1 and X move turn the tag switch on so the AND Gate will not be fulfilled and it wont activate the jump.

You can do the same thing require for the attack. Basically 2 things are required for the basic attack (press the Square button and have another tag on) but when you perform the advanced attack turn the tag off, so the basic attack can't be pulled off. And remember to turn the tag back on again after the advanced attack. This can all be done with sequencers.
