Do we really need this? I'll let everyone else decide if it is a good idea or not, but I'm not sure we need to make sure everyone gets credit for every idea they have. You guys let me know what you think.

OK, fair enough. Let us know what you think! PS, this is by no means trying to eliminate the share aspect of the game, people will inevitably be copying each others ideas all the time. I just think that it is important for people to think of original ideas & get credit where it is due.

hmm, i suggested a mountainous level, and a nucleaur base kinda level. not much of a costume person, or an event person. i wanna create a moving Metal Gear (dw i read your mario part - i know it's not original but it will still be badass as hell). But going the total opposite way... having everyone create a level with the same idea would be great... cause it would push peoples creativity to the limit to really make sure their one stands out. I don't know if we need this idea though of 'i thought of it first! it's mine!'. share the love i say.

i have a mini-game that would fit the carnival theme pretty well... There are 2 players that stand in the middle of a big container (box bucket w/e) and 3 cannons. each player has a different color sticker. the cannons shoot balls over the sackboys into the container. as the balls are midair. the players have to put a sticker on them. at the end of the level you count the balls and the person with the most wins! Maybe i can have the cannons on a pivot so that they dont all shoot the same place. an idea i had for weapons... since you can grab stuff... i figured i could take a peice of grabable material and put a peice of electicity or fire at the end... since you cna control your hand you might be able to stab people with the fire... if not kill them, you can at least make them burn a little.

Really nice idea, but I would prefer if you stick to one idea per post, that way it is easier to link them. Nevertheless, I posted your grab-able fire idea because we don't have enough weapons.

Yeah good idea to make sure that your ideas are not being stolen, I trust you all but I am not give you the recipe to Big Mac sause after just meeting you. It makes sense but I would have to say people should be smart about this and not post a idea that they are scared of people taking, and instead are willing to deal with someone could take there idea. So be carefull about your ideas. I look at this as a way to throw a idea out and see what we can do with it. But really it will come how well you can take that idea and actually make it. Someone has posted ideas on a Amusment Park well that does not mean they own the rights to it, amusment parks are part of us all. We all have a different idea of where to take them. Also people who are thinking about creating a mario level, well I say be orginal with it. We all do the moonwalk to show respect to the greatest artist of our time but we will take it and make it orginal and make it our own. Do the same with levels from other games. Just don't take them as they are but improve them or add your style to the level. But nothing wrong with that, Mario is a classic and we would not be here without them creating that game. :o

What I AM encouraging is being original & I think originality & creativity is the backbone of this game. You are totally right, I agree with you. This game is about creativity, but after a while we will end up seeing 10 of the same idea. But hopefully this helps with creating a new idea out of the same ideas. There will so many levels with the same idea but that is okay!!

I had a thought for one of the ideas mentioned already. And I think saying give them credit for their awesome ideas. Means me and all of the other hundreds of people who buy the game that may have the same idea would be copying. A hundred people may create the same idea a hundred different ways without ever reading this forum. Your original ideas and credit to you is what others will have a problem with that read this. Not the list in one thread which is not a bad idea.

Yeah; I might want to take down some of the more general ones- for example the Amusement Park one considering that I already had that idea (so many others probably have too). Yes; like every other system, this one has flaws like the ones you pointed out. However, it is much better than no one having credit for their ideas, so the best thing that could be done about the problem is including a disclaimer. Do you have a suggestion for what it could say?

Fair question... maybe I need a FAQ for this thread since I'm getting a lot of questions?? Ok, why do people need credit for their ideas? There three main reasons that people want to be credited for their hard work: 1. To get recognized in the community as a creator. 2. So they can feel comfortable sharing their ideas without the fear of their ideas being stolen. 3. To encourage creativity & originality. "It is the execution that will matter the most." Ah, but without ideas or plans there is nothing to 'execute'! Without a house plan there is no house to be built! Without a military plan there is no battle to be fought! See my point? Also, if you have problems with this thread, can you please PM me so it can stay clean? I want IDEAS not COMPLAINTS!

I agree that people deserve credit, but a thread like this would end up encouraging arguing over who came up with what first. If you agree, I would like to change the title to "LittleBigPlanet Idea Bank" and change the description of the thread a bit. I think a bank for everyone's ideas would be massively useful, but I don't think you should encourage people to claim what is theirs in this manner. If you'd give me permission, I'll make the necessary edits and sticky the post. If not, then it stays the way it is. Let me know.

There's tons of threads I have no interest in...does that mean they should be erased...
