Omg!!! I've worked on my prince of persia level for like 5hour streak and the electricity when off and back on making my ps3 shut down!!! Atm i don't feel like even entering that level anymore -.-!!!! I'm really really angry atm! READ POST NUMBER 11

What, 5 hours with no test plays or anything? You can't have lost all 5 hours, surely? Well, I 'spose it happens. I'm just glad captured Popit items are saved automaticly. If those were also lost in crashes or powercuts, I think I'd lose it. PS3 out the window.

haven't done any test play, i was doing the last part of my level, made really cool design and stuff that i don't think i can re-make. Also no i didn't save any object so i clearly lost the 5hour of creating. During that 5hour i've done a lot of things :/

Ah cool. Well, hopefully, you've learned your lesson. I know I have, its happened to me several times. Power goes out, PS3 freezes, etc. I do profile back UPS and even save a published locked copy incase my PS3 crashes completely. My new level was published locked, and I update it when I've made significant progress. Heck, it already has four hearts on it and no one has even played it, haha. So yeah, I've learned the hard way, you can never back up too much.

Ah yes, reminds me of something that happened to me once.... Back in 1985 I was programming a game in Z80 assembly code on a Trs-80. I worked on it for about 6 months. Back then, we didn't have hard drives. I had all the source code saved on 8 inch floppies. I accidentally set my box of disks next to an eletromagnet which was used to erase disks. The next time I went to work on the program, I found all of the disks had been totally erased. It's these kinds of life lessons that make us wiser......

Sorry for wat happened to ya but i think you forgot about it right? Nope, didn't forget about it. I remind myself of it everytime I start getting lazy about backups. You can never be too careful. When I was working on the Hansel & Gretelbot project I would exit out of create mode every hour or so and do a quick backup. I'm totally paranoid about losing things..... probably due to losing 6 months of work many years ago.
