Which DLC is essential to creation?

| I've been playing the LBP 'saga' (!) for about 3 years now, but never really engaged with it properly. I've decided to try my hand at creating and I'm having a blast at it, but I was wondering which DLC packs I would need to get the most tools/ideas/options for creating? Bearing in mind, I would rather not spend too much money, between ?10-20 really. Back on LBP1 I think it was the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' pack for water, and the 'Metal Gear Solid' pack for the paintinator that were the essential downloads. Is that still true now? | Those are basically the essential creation packs available that you have to pay for (I'm omitting the "creator pack 1). In the future, the new Move pack will provide you with game changing tools, so be on the look out for that. Some new tools from the pack might be available without actually owning a move controller. | POTC and MGS should definitely take priority, if you don't already have either. The other packs don't have quite as much awesome stuff as these 2 packs do, but they're still worth a look for the extra bits and pieces. If you already have the POTC and the MGS pack, the Monster pack or perhaps the Incredibles pack would be my next choice. Marvel pack should likely go to the back of the queue, as it doesn't really feel as good as any of the others. In saying that, the Incredibles and Monster pack aren't level-packs, as you just play 1 level with easy to get prize bubbles, while the Marvel pack has 4 levels to play, like POTC and MGS. So, yeah. MGS/POTC > Incredibles/Monster > Marvel. There aren't any part-packs yet for LBP2, but the Move pack is due for some time around this autumn/winter, so perhaps that's worth waiting for, if the 5 LBP1 major packs don't seem worth it. | If im honest, Mgs pack should be first one to go for, and then potc. as you can get water without the pptc in LBP2 I have them all. and the Marvel pack is seriously dissappointing, Mgs and Potc and Incredibles are possibly some of the better ones. | 2011-06-25 02:18:00 Author: sorrowthedark  Posts: 125 |
