Switching controls??

| Hello, Is there a way to have one controllinator, and then when you press a button, the controls change? Example: Left Stick controls left and right (on a vehicle) but when I press L3, Left stick now controls a piston, and then I press L3 again, and it's back to left and right. | If you're having trouble figuring out what the gates even mean, you need to run through the in game tutorials or search the forum. You'll find great descriptions on here and in game there are live tutorials on how to use each piece (at least in its most basic function). As for your question, you have a couple ways of doing it. The simplest way is to use a toggle and a NOT gate. Put down two different microchips - one for your vehicle movement and one for piston movement. Hook them both up as though the other one did not exist - so you may have multiple outputs running from the left stick. You'll hook the L3 output of the controlinator to the input of the toggle switch. Then two outputs will come from the toggle switch - one to a NOT gate, and one to the input of the microchip that controls the piston (hint - if the piston is controlled by the left stick being connected directly to it, you can put a circuit node on the microchip so that the signal must 'pass through' the microchip in order to reach it's destination - the piston). Then hook up your NOT gate output to the input of the vehicle controls. And that's it!
