How to create while your not creating!

Archive: 19 posts

Lol the title is unique

Anyway i will proof that the title isn't so bad after all.
The LBP1 & LBP2 Intro isn't so bad after all, i have learned a lot from it.
You biggest inspiration and imagination come when your dreaming. Because each days when i'm creating stuff i can't wait to go to sleep because my imagination is much stronger and i can discoverer new thing and the next days, create it all out from my mind!
My opinion is that you should benefit if your sleeping time to imagine anything you want about LittleBigPlanet and you will find out new amazing thing that will make your level unique! This will help improve your level and make you a better creator because your also practicing when your dreaming.
So yea your creating and learning when your dreaming.

I do my best creating in the hour before I fall asleep.... then forget it all the next morning. It's an awful feeling when you remember solving some problem, then going to fix it and having no idea what you were going to do.2011-06-23 09:37:00

This may not be fit for the tutorial section. That said, I actually solved a couple of problems in a dream when I was working really hard on my level. I did the connections and tested it in my dream, woke up, did the connections in "real life", and the solution worked. The miracle was not me solving the problem in the dream, that I woke and remembered the solution as I usually forget my dreams. It was a sign that I played too much of it, so I started playing less from that day 2011-06-23 10:30:00

If I get stuck on some LBP2 logic, I will take a break and work on something else. The funny thing is, usually when I go to bed that night that I was stuck on the logic, I will think about it in my sleep and it will hit me like a ton of bricks. Does this happen to anyone else? I once took an acid and had the most vivid dream of a guitar fret-board and had this song looping over & over again in my head.
When I woke up, I could play it on the guitar! (I do know how to play the guitar - so it's not as crazy as it seems).

Your subconscious mind is powerfully creative.

I was just about to post the same thing!
Yes, I have had numerous moments of genius while sleeping. Things I didn't think were possible during the day, suddenly come to me at night.

Weird dreams, mind.

Some of you might say this isn't a tutorial but it is because when i can solve a complicated logic on my level i always find the answer while i'm dreaming.2011-06-23 17:30:00

Then please do a tutorial on the problems you solved. Seriously, the only helpful thing about "Hey, go dream lol!" is that it might have reminded a few people to shut down their PC and get some rest. That's all I'll say in this thread and that's it. It is not even bump-worthy.

The main reason i made this is not because i wanted to tell people to shut their PS3/PC and go get some rest because we are all free to do watever we want.
You might haven't noticed but i posted this guide because it help in level creating & Music.

The later the night (earlier the mourning?) the better the creation... When your tired, your mind thinks differently than you would normally do... This is the reason I dont create logic at night tho...2011-06-27 12:21:00
