d20 System

I am planning a few projects to be done after my massive Mythicos project is completed, and one I have particular interest in involves die roll based combat in a very turn based kind of way. What do you think would be the best way of going about doing this? I mean randomizers are obviously the way to go for the actual rolls, but in what ways can this be implemented into a game play experience similar to DnD (obviously) that wont leave the player bored to death. I realize, that this isn't a fully realized idea yet, but I found no better way to brainstorm than with the amazing community here at LBPC.2011-06-22 13:45:00

Imagine making it work in real time. Randomizers is best bet. Perhaps have a section of the HUD just for the dice rolls, or even make some dice and watch them get tossed.2011-06-22 14:21:00

Well, IDK if i want to show the dice, or just the outcome. I am trying to figure out if I want to do an RPG or what... I could make a d20 diceroll logic chip for those DnD players out there... ANd I could use that to apply to any ideas I might have... thats not such a bad idea. Like a polyhedral dice chip...2011-06-22 15:03:00
