Hi sacks, How do you make a piston move from Point A to Point B, but stop in the middle? This is confusing me a bit, and I have seen it done before. | 2011-06-22 06:20:00 Author: BeaversLikeWood Posts: 119 |

Set up a battery and a sequencer to connect with the piston. That's the easiest way I can think of right now. The piston probably not be set to directional for this to work. But this option makes sense. You could do away with the piston as it may be hard to get it to stop perfectly at point B. Use three copies of a tag and a follower set up a sequencer and three batteries to make it move, this is more scaleable as you can have more stops. If you need to see the piston, maybe use a tag at the stop point that resets a timer that breaks the signal from a battery, and then starts counting up again. | 2011-06-22 07:47:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |
Set the piston to 0% strength, and attach Followers to the block it is "pushing around". You put a tag at location A, B and C, all in the path of the piston. Situation A, Follower A is activated that moves the block to location A. Repeat for all other locations. If instead you want to be able to control a directional piston but also make it stop when you don't use your controls, use a controlinator, lead output from one of the sticks to a directional splitter, hook the outputs of that to corresponding inputs of a directional combiner and lead that to a directional piston. | 2011-06-22 10:58:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
Thanks everyone. Now can you help me with this? https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=58636-Logic-Help I need that now for my new level. | 2011-06-22 12:10:00 Author: BeaversLikeWood Posts: 119 |

It should be noted that this technique does not require a piston at all, it would only be for "looks." | 2011-06-22 13:02:00 Author: schm0 Posts: 1239 |
