When I went from the beta back to LBP 1, creating seemed like a nightmare. With all the little features we have now, I don't think I could ever go back. The frustration alone would probably make me smash my PS3.2011-06-21 19:04:00

I still see some great LBP1 levels popping up, but I wouldn't be able to go back.2011-06-21 19:36:00

I feel like now that Im so used to creating with all these new tools, going back to LBP 1 would just be too hard; Id want to do stuff, create things that are in my mind, but not be able to just because Im restricted by limited tools. Mostly hollogram.2011-06-21 19:49:00

So your asking me to take away the ability to...

...Hide objects (remeber disconnecting stuff and moving it around?)

...Concentrate logic into a small space so it doesn't take up much level space or thermo

...Use SackBots for other characters (cardboard cutouts no!)

...Use hologram and the many wondorous things it does

...Direct control seats if we want to change controls

No, I'm good thanks. LBP1 was a brilliant game, but I don't think I could turn back now.

The only reason I'd go back is to finish the level I was working on in it to port over to LBP2, which the new lighting engine completely ruined in the new game once it was brought over. Frankly though, I can't do in LBP what I had planned to do to it in LBP2... so no, no chance of that ever happening now.2011-06-21 20:46:00

It's sickening to see LBP1 still flooded with people spamming copied levels etc.

But yeah, as I continue to learn new techniques, it is tempting to go back and do something better in LBP1. I would, just to see what I could make now, but I have too many LBP2 projects going on.

I am currently creating a platform-ish puzzle level and it looks pretty basic, I want to try to create it in littlebigplanet 1 but I dont have the hide object feature... besides that I can just find some theck, or the magical grabbable thin layer, and sticker some dissolve... Wait!!! No sticker cutout tool

Wow LBP 1 sounds impossible now...

I still have a level all planned out and half built. If I ever decide to finish it, I might do it in LBP1 if I can bear the limited tools. It doesn't use of have a place for much of the new LBP2 stuff, so it might be a bit underwhelming here, and by publishing in LBP1 more people could enjoy it.2011-06-23 09:59:00

I never created a level (if I ever do, I want it to have a cool concept), but I absolutely love messing around and experimenting in Create mode. I went back creating in LBP1 one day and I just couldn't do it for more than 5 minutes. There isn't any hologram, hide function, imprived wiring, and physics-based logic was something I never gotten used to. LBP1 was the real Play-Create-Share revolution, but it's time to evolve. Those who love LBP should have bought LBP2 for ages now, the top creators have moved on to it since week one of its release. It's amazing how the LBP1 part of the community is so active despite being outdated, but it's almost a bitter curse for me having to navigate through the old boring LBP1 levels when searching for LBP2 stuff (MM adding the filter function to each page would fix that, but unfortunately they won't do it).2011-06-23 12:13:00

i think the flood of new levels might come from the welcome back program on psn. when they made lbp a game you could get for free, a lot of people got it and thought that lbp was just for hearts and plays, so they created noob levels just for that.
im not much of a creater, but i could probibly go back and help the burning world thats lbp1. i just need some help

I don't see a reason to go back. The LBPC community IS the good part of the LBP community, and they have all moved on by now. There was no community split like we predicted, and it looks like the community is just... on 2 now. SO I see no reason to return to 1.2011-06-23 15:35:00

Keep in mind that LBPC is not only forum and there creators that are not in LBPC

I think we should help all of those costume shark survival creators move over to LBP2. Seems more logical to me.2011-06-24 09:17:00
