Artificial Mind (Logic Project)
Archive: 8 posts
Hey, LBPCentral community, I'm working on a artificial sackboy brain that trys to beat your moves in chess, racing etc. Anyways, On July 1st, the project will start. I'll be needing 2 logic masters to help and have a good time! If you wanna help, send me a message! | 2011-06-21 02:11:00 Author: Unknown User |
For this to work, your going to need a system that can first detect just about every action, then reply depending upon past events. | 2011-06-21 13:48:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
It doesn't have to predict much when playing chess. It needs to be reactionary. I mean, it can have pre designed strategies, but basically, it needs to be reactionary more than anything. | 2011-06-21 14:18:00 Author: poorjack Posts: 1806 |

That would be true, but he's not designing it to solely play chess. He's wanting to create a machine that Can play chess (and win) if it wants. Its not a one purpose machine, but an all around AI. | 2011-06-21 17:46:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
This sounds like an interesting challenge... even though I have created several microchips with hundreds of components, this would definitely challenge my skills... The hardest part about creating an AI is not being able to beat someone, but rather create different "difficulties" of AI, unless you just want a "normal" difficulty AI. A racing AI already sounds far easier than a chess AI, mostly because chess has over a few dozen pieces & even more spaces on the board, so that would be the one I'd have more patience in creating the logic for. | 2011-06-21 23:44:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
See, I thought a chess AI sounds easier. A racing AI has to sense its surroundings, where as a chess AI has to be able to keep track of figures (something LBP ships with) | 2011-06-22 15:18:00 Author: poorjack Posts: 1806 |
Well, I've already got some ideas on how a racing AI could be built, which includes putting some tagged objects on the track itself. It wouldn't have to react much against other players, but it could be easily programmed to. It'd also be very easy to make a "racing line" for a specific AI, out of tagged holo, for a very simple racing AI. | 2011-06-22 19:17:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
