The OFFICIAL Kindred Sign-Ups (CLOSED)

Archive: 61 posts

Hello PSP community! CyberSora here from the Kindred team for an important announcement.

As we all know, the Kindred team has been working hard to bring you all some of the most unique gameplays yet to be conjured in the PSP Community. However, our team has been feeling the effects of Life, and while most endured it at first, we started to have members leave during production in order to focus more on their personal life.

So, where do you come in? Simple. The Kindred team has finally decided to open its doors to the public to allow a handful of creative minds to join the production team! The new members will be given access to the Kindred team's HQ, along with details on the story line, "powers" of the HQ, and a personal slot in an upcoming surprise we have for the Community.

Q&A

Why?
Like I said, we lost members. They've left the site for personal reasons (please don't talk ill of them), and they asked to be let go. Rather than forcing ourselves to pick up were they left off and lose time, we decided that recruiting more people will be more beneficial for all of us.

How do I sign up?
Just post in this thread asking for a position on the team. Tell us what you're best at (platforming, puzzles, etc.) along with some of your work (levels). From there, we'll review your level(s), discuss if you meet our qualifications, and we'll assign you to a sub-team that needs more people like you.

Being dedicated to this project along with being active is a must for us, so tell why you feel we should let you join!

What's a sub-team?
Sub-teams are basically groups assigned to certain levels. As we already covered from the start, Kindred is about platforming, puzzles, art, and so on. By assigning these groups to work on specific levels that require one or two of these fields, we can bring better quality levels to the Community.

Examples:
- You're great with platforming → Platformeranians Team
- You're great with visuals and details → Artisians Team

How do you share levels?
We share levels using a FullMoon style method, CreatorMoon, in which we hand over our levels via files. It's the reason why you haven't seen any unfinished Kindred levels appearing on the Community Moon like in the past. However, after running into several problems with the method, we only use it to exchange to people working on the level or giving it to The Hoarder to publish.

You'll learn more about this if you're picked to be in the team.

And how do I catch up on... everything?
Easy. We'll have a "New Members" thread ready for you guys. Once you're in, the thread will contain a short summarization of the Kindred plot, levels that are being worked on, and rules.

Our team also works with DLC, so it's essential that you inform us of what DLC you need if required on the level you're working on. If you need help purchasing a DLC, we can help you out with it. Just don't try to rip us off.

That's it?
That's it.

Just don't take advantage of the situation. Oh... and you must give full allegiance to the almighty Hoarder. His leadership is flawless. He is the founding father of the project. He shall remain anonymous. DO NOT REVEAL HIS IDENTITY.

He is forever unknown.

Thanks for staying with us, and enjoy your summer!

Great! I had messaged Taffey about joining the project a month or so ago and he said something like this would come up so here I am!

My "R?sum?"
Updated 6/17/2011 12:33 AM GMT-6

Skills:

Aesthetics. I think I would be best suited with the "Artisans" clan. I think my work speaks best for itself. In PSP Mario 2010 (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=45134-PSP-Mario-2010), you can see my dedication from everything to the very last detail in my recreation of multiple popular PSP levels, all of which was made from scratch on my own. You'll also notice in this level my pride in aesthetics right off the bat with the PSP I created. Another level of mine that illustrates this striving of mine is Modern Warfare Survival (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=56861-Modern-Warfare-Survival) . In this you get to see my skills with both logic and detail, and everything in between. From the two wooden lookout shacks at the beginning to the M16 burst fired by the soldier at the end, you can see my realistic creations. Along with these two more accomplished levels of mine are two, one of which I deleted (since it was just an object showcase) cars. The first is a Ford Mustang which can still be seen on my levels page. The other, which I took off but still have in a file backup is an Audi R8.

Storyline. Although you haven't seen it yet, I have an epic project in the making that will showcase my storytelling ability. I realize the story is all probably fully planned out, but if needed, I can help.

Gameplay. I have a level that I'll be releasing probably this weekend that showcases my ability in this area. I still would say that I pride myself more in aesthetics, however, and would rather be placed with the Artisans. I'd be honored to help with either of them.

Detailed, realistic visuals. You can see this with my most recent level, "Modern Warfare Survival." I wouldn't even consider it to be based on the Modern Warfare series, in fact it really isn't at all ignoring the identical guns. The guns I used in this level show my talent at paying attention to detail. (And not because it was a popular search term that would get noticed on the community moon or anything.)
Character building. I've been working with this lately, and you'll see this weekend with my release of my entry for LBP PSP's Next Top Creator Challenge Two that I have a grasp on character design (although I realize we already have a specialist for this).

Desire for Perfection. I wouldn't consider myself a perfectionist (the term sounds too...picky), but I would say I care that I do a great job to the best of my ability. I don't like to put out anything less than my best work.

Magic Crater Method. I am experienced with and accustomed to transferring files on the computer and have an email account I can use for sharing the files.

Schedule

Summer. I'll be free for most the summer and have access to my PSP and wi-fi throughout it (with only a couple vacations planned). Of course I have a life outside of LBP and daily activities, but I'll be able to get on LBPCentral daily.

Schoolyear. I'm assuming the goal is to get this done this summer or at least most of it, but if it comes to taking longer, I'll be less available for creating on PSP. I'll still have time on the weekends and be in contact on LBPCentral throughout.

The only problem I can see with me creating in this community project is that I do not own any of the "Premium," if you will, DLC, that is, the non-free DLC. However, I could probably find a way to buy one or two of the packs if need be. (Is it true they are only $0.99 US now?) Don't worry about my current project in the works as I'll happily put Kindred first and still have time for both.
Check my signature for my levels that are up-to-date with my time at LBPCentral.

EDIT: Additional

Thread Design. I am more than capable of making banners and keeping threads neat and organized. If this comes into play I feel that I am the number one man for the job as I understand BB code from a webpage design class and take pride in the small things that make threads look nice (i.e bold fonts).
I also know how to get things noticed, it got you to read this update in my resume didn't it?

Activity. I don't think I made it clear enough early on, but I am always on the forums. Even if I'm not posting, I always am sure to "Thanks" a post if I find it well thought out or creative. I know that sometimes small things like a "Thanks" go a long way and can mean a lot to people.

Thank you for reading this I understand that you're busy. I am going up north for the weekend so I will be inactive on the forums, but active in create mode.

Yes! YES!!! This seems like that push I need to be an active creator again!
Plus, working in a group project is extremely fun.
I am totally 100% going to apply for a part! Let me just create a "R?sum?".
I'll edit this post later.

EDIT:

Though it may feel like a bump when compared to the resume of the evil mastermind woodbury, it's still a half decent descriptive set of paragraphs.

Accomplishments, Achievements, and Accolades
-A brief look back at all the things I've done.

Heart-Break Haven (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=52364-Heart-Break-Haven-*Spotlighted*)
-A story level that showcases my aesthetic abilities. Though it isn't apparent, there is an absurd amount of Logic in this level. It took a very great sum of time to implement in this level. Also reveals an untapped pool of talent towards music. Although, I will never truly be any good at creating music mind you.

The Clock Tower (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=44516-The-Clock-Tower-*SPOTLIGHTED*&p=740393#post740393)
-I personally feel that this is my best level. It displays my sticker-ish side. As this is the most stickers I've ever used in a level. Also my first attempt at subscribing three logic gates to one object so that it activates subsequently. Please pardon the lack of pictures on the thread, something must have happened with photobucket. D:
Other Media:
Random's PSP Reviews: Now With Extra Tiger Blood! (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=57083-Random-s-PSP-Reviews-Now-With-Extra-Tiger-Blood!)
-A nice, pleasant, thoughtful review conducted by RandomPerson himself!

The Kookey Canyon (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=42406-The-Kookey-Canyon-*!!Spotlighted!!*)
-My first spotlit level, also the break of noob creating for me. As the next two levels that followed got some of the spotlight action as well. My main focus was to create a Canyon level unlike any other. I personally would like to take the opportunity to thank Eagerneph & jimydog000 for helping me out with all the lag.
Other Media:
LittleBigLand Review (http://www.littlebigland.com/forum/showthread.php/12663-PSP-The-Kookey-Canyon-by-The-Questor)

Enough About Me...Well, Maybe More
-Schedules, Leisure, Dates When I'll be Absent From LBPC

My schedule: is a tad bit hectic on the most part. As of June 27th - July 28th I'll be notabley busy. Until and after that period of time I am quite free until School starts again.

Leisure: Well, contrary to the above statement I actually WILL have time for LittleBigPlanet PSP. I'm assuming all operations will be carried out VIA Magic Crater to keep the level series concealed, so if and when I have the levels I'll work like a madman and devote any leisure I possess to Kindred.

July 3rd is the only date to the best of my knowledge that I will be absent from LBPC this Summer. Other than that, I have the opportunity to be as active on LBPC as a Microsoft Gamer on Call of Duty!

Strength and Skiiiillllz
-Where my notable strengths lie in creating

Logic
I've experimented with it and I am fully capable of implamenting intricate logic gates across a level (or should I say level series ;D)

Aesthetics
-All three showcased levels above (and below in my Sig) all each display my capabilities in unorthodox enviromental settings. Although The Clock Tower does make the most sense out of three. (Aesthetically Speaking of course)

Puzzles:
I just told you everything I know about Puzzles. Although I was trying to work on a Puzzle Level. It was scheduled to be my last level but it got corrrupt. (:c)

Downloadable Content
- I have it all, Cambridge has made a killing off of me. ESPECIALLY because I bought 93% of all my content at full price. But hey, LBP PSP is worth it.

That's it?
That's it.

But Wait! There's More!!
-I here by agree to completely submit to The Hoarder and will ensure I perform the best I can to Appease his mighty enitity. I also enjoy being whipped to certain extent...

I would like to apply for the Puzzle group. (You never made it clear what the 4 groups were.)

My Skills:
My biggest strength is in gameplay and puzzles. The most important aspect being the originality of my puzzles. Many other people have told me that they said: "Why didn't I think of that?" to themselves when playing my levels. And I am very consistent with the originality of my gameplay as I almost never put a simple "grab and swing across this gap" puzzle in my levels. However, my gameplay is not only original but well-organized. In the level I am working on, my gameplay progresses from easy to hard, in terms of difficulty. Another one of my strengths is dealing with logic. I know many types of logic as well as having created my own logic gates. I am also great with troubleshooting and testing levels (the latter due to my curiosity and knack for finding holes in levels.) I am also very good with character creation, although it is not as big a part of my repertoire as my gameplay. Lastly, I have no life. I am online very often and will stick with projects until everyone else backs out.

My Qualifications:
Gameplay Originality: Quotes from my level threads and the spotlight as well as all the levels in my sig.

Gameplay is marvelous and I found quite original... The environmental puzzles were well thought out, and very enjoyable.

The gameplay was original and fun, giving me a few "Why didn't I think of that?!?" moments.

This level has everything. An epic boss fight, a great storyline, originality, and bunches more.
Levels:
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33823-The-Wicked-Manufactory-**Spotlighted**
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=43171-Devious-Dataspace-(Spotlighted!)
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=42050-*12-Days-of-Christmas*-The-Ghoul-Duel
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=41983-*12-Days-of-Christmas*-Clocktower-Climb

Logic: "Clocktower Climb" and "Ghoul Duel" both required a large amount of logic as well as some creativity when making the shield for the blimp.
(Some specific examples: Elevator for Clocktower Climb had to stop at certain floors and progress upwards after the floor was completed, Clocktower Climb bossfight required multiple "AND" gates, Counters, Permanent switches, and a makeshift sequencer. Ghoul Duel boss fight required unique logic for the Hot Air Balloon's shield.)

Characters: I created a few great characters: The Werewolf boss and the Mad Scientist in my level: Beware Wolf. As well as the Ghoul/Death monster in my 12 Days of Christmas levels.
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=25923http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/The%2012%20Days%20of%20Christmas/12%20DOC%20Day%209/IMG_3261.jpg

Online activity: My activity on this site is very high (I even got the activity award a couple times.) and I was committed enough to the 12 Days of Christmas project that I made two seperate levels for it when others went M.I.A.

Miscellaneous: I am capable of purchasing the DLC myself and have been connected/following the Kindred project ever since that fateful August day. I even got the first post in that thread and was quite involved in the various puzzles you gave us.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my application.

I would like to apply for the Puzzle group. (You never made it clear what the 4 groups were.)

To keep the project as mysterious as we can, we're classifying all information of these groups until we feel it is time to revealing them like the other ones (i.e. Platformeranians). Like I said, we'll review your resume, along with your levels to identify which styles of gameplay you're most familiar with. From there, we'll assign you to the sub-team(s) that need your help in.

I'm interested in applying. But I'm going to be very straightforward.

Accomplishments:

Spotlighted Level: A Bubbly Garden.
Spotlighted Level: The Translocator
Spotlight Nod: A Bubbly Forest.
Spotlight Nod: Both Malbora Levels
Top Rated Pg. 2: A Bubbly Gaden. [as of December 11] with 1400+ plays or so
Nominated as "Most Gobsmacking Gameplay" In the PSP Level of 2010: A Bubbly Garden.

Gameplay Skills: I'm not the best at puzzles, err anything like that, but I'm guessing you've played some of my levels and know enough. ...But wait for my new level to come out next week, it's much better

As you can tell... I really like bubbles (this adds on to gameplay). I understand their properties, their value, how they can be set up for combos, and their immense addition to replay value.

Visual Skills: It's not as evident in my currently published levels, but I've found that I'm actually pretty good at sticker work, material choice, and so on. See this from my upcoming level...

http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/Wooden%20Isles/IMG_4265.jpg

Experience in Community Projects: As you know, I was a part of the 12 DOC. I'm able organize and contribute things very well on time.

DLC:

The Gardens
The Canyons
The Islands
The Temples
The Wilderness
Turbo! (but i'm guessing we're not going to be using due to the glitchyness)
Free Fantasy Background

Misc. Skills:

I'm able to make good thread layouts with graphic design if needed. See The 12 DOC Mega Thread (http://bit.ly/hiMMQq). BB code is my thing, I make spotlights, and those are BB code to the max.
I'm able to take really good quality pictures. I found the charger to my Canon EOS, which has 18 megapixels, which is very good. See the picture above... That's shrunk to 1/3 the original size so it fits in the thread properly.
Dialogue. I'm guessing you already have the story plotted out, but I'd be willing to make a good "screenplay" for it. Conventions are my thing ^^
I'm a member of the spotlight crew so it's practically my job to know what a good level is. This could be useful... Somehow...
I am willing to submit my soul to the hoarder.

Disclaimer: I actually can't cuz I'm a ginger...

Here it goes....

Accompishments
Part of 12DOC Crew
Coco Caverns- 700+ plays and spotlighed by the LBPC PSP Crew.

Just to say first all, I would like to apply for the artisans group.Though I only have only level published on Community Moon, I feel like my talent level is exceptional enough to participate in this community project. Some of my stregnths are....

Visuals
I feel like I am exceptional at visuals. I exceed mainly at corner editing. Also I am very good at material choice and I feel like it would be a helpful addition to the team.

Gameplay
Though it may not be my strongest suite, I feel like that I have a good grasp on gameplay and I could contribute to that aspect.

Experience
I have already been in a community project, so I know how to work with a group well. I'm a hard and good guy to work with and I'll contribute a great work ethic. I have been active constanly on LBPC for over a year now, ajd I have had LBP PSP since day 1, so I know the ins and outs of LBP PSP.

Misc.
I know how to use the MC Method well. Also about DLC, I have enough money in my PSN to get the rest of the DLC.

Also I have an aurora of awesome that shines around me.

Thank you for reading this and I hope that you guys let me join the Kindred Team.... And yes, I pledge my loyalty to The Hoarder....

Woot! Woot! Kindred.

Levels and their Accomplishments:
The Space Temples of Bluk'Ro - ★Spotlighted★
The Space Temples of Ghana'Sue - ★Spotlighted★
Trifari Adventure - Wheely Good! Sticker Winner (Three Vehicles Contest)
Fast Food Flyer - LittleBigBoffin! Sticker Winner (Flying Vehicle Contest)

In all of my levels I try my best to implement excellent level design and aesthetics. If possible, I would prefer to be apart of the Artisians Team to focus on visuals for the project. However, I also enjoy purely designing levels and platforming. I also believe my creative mind and skills will be a great benefit to the project and its outcome. And although I am the head of LBPJourney, I feel I can remain faithful and devoted to both projects, as long as [real] life does not prevent me to do so. Thank you for reading, and expect a soon-to-be-published (less than a week) Space Temples level to really surprise the community!

I have absolutely nothing else to do this summer that would leave me PSP-less, so the only reason I would have to leave is if my PSP breaks beyond repair.

Well, I don't know what position I would be, but I can tell you this:
I suck at making long platformers and such, but I'm great at making Survival Challenges since I'm an expert at logic.

My Levels:
Saving Valentine's Day (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=52851-Saving-Valentine-s-Day) (This level was made it 10 hours strait.)
The Tester (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=32066-The-Tester) (This level was from a year ago. I've gotten better since then.)
Robo's Tester (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34262-Robo-s-Tester) (This is just a remixed version of The Tester that I made almost a year ago.)

I'm fine with using the Magic Crater Method. I've used it before.

If you need to know what DLC I have, here is a list.(In order by release date.)(Free DLC not shown)

The Gardens Theme Pack
The Savanna Theme Pack
The Wedding Theme Pack
The Canyons Theme Pack
The Metropolis Theme Pack
The Islands Theme Pack
The Temples Theme Pack
The Wilderness Theme Pack
Turbo! Premium Level Kit
MotorStorm? Hessian Stitch Level Pack

Rare Stickers:
LittleBigBoffin
Loved up

That's it?
That's it.

Just don't take advantage of the situation. Oh... and you must give full allegiance to the almighty Hoarder. His leadership is flawless. He is the founding father of the project. He shall remain anonymous. DO NOT REVEAL HIS IDENTITY.

So, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Gotcha!

Thanks for staying with us, and enjoy your summer!

You Too!

Activity:
I get on LBPC several times a day.

If it's possible, I'd really like to help =).I only have two levels in the community moon and they're just contest entries. But I have much more time now and will most probably be able to stay active for the rest of the year and create a lot more. If things go well (and things seem to be turning out okay so far) I'll have my first full level done quite soon.

Anyway, I might be able to help in the following ways:

Scenery:
I can do corner-edited landscapes.

Nature scenes are my favorite and I really like decorating levels with flowers, bushes and trees. I wouldn't mind doing other kinds of scenery as well. There aren't any stickers in these pictures, but I can work with them too if a level called for it.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/mirabilis_phalaina/e1f6ade4.png
These sample pictures are from some of my older unfinished levels.

Characters:
I really enjoy making these. They're usually thin sheets with a combination of corner-editing and sticker-work.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/mirabilis_phalaina/2a6af954.png
Various characters: Yellow and Green LocoRoco (you can see the yellow one on my Moflee Bird level; I was very fond of LocoRoco last year ^^), a Viking (from the level I'm currently making), and a character inspired from the sackgirl I'm using

Vehicles and Rideable Creatures:
I really love making these as well. I like using a bit of logic when I make them and try to think up ways so they can be multifunctional.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/mirabilis_phalaina/91b316be.png
The first picture is a flying vehicle like those used by certain LocoRoco characters. It's wings flap and it can go up and down and both directions. A grab switch triggers the circular segment at the bottom to open and release a bomb. It was supposed to be a just for fun entry to Jeffcu's Make-Believe Mobile contest, but I thought the Moflee Bird would be more interesting.

The second picture is an unfinished water dragon I'm currently working on.

These pictures are all from still-unpublished, unfinished levels. For actual samples, you can look at these contest entries on the community moon:

LBPC: Butterfly Cake

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=24657-[PSP]-YWMTMW-Contest-Round-2-The-Make-Believe-Mobile-**WINNERS-ANNOUNCED**

Others
I can use logic, though as I still need more level-making experience, I still need some practice.

Activity:
School's just ended and now I have a lot of free time. I'll be free the whole year (except, maybe, November when I'd still be able to participate but have a month-long course to deal with as well). I'm sure I'll be able to come onto this site as often as possible and help out as much as I can.

I also work a lot faster on team projects than on my own =).

Submission to the Hoarder:
I'm willing to make whatever he/she wants me to =)

I take criticism very well and am willing to redo my work until it's the best it can be. Anyway, I completely understand if you don't think I'm qualified. All the others are really good and I really should finish a full level... ^^

Okay, so I might as will submit my soul to this.

Accomplishments:
Published levels: Shards (spotlight), Night Sky Dreams (nod), Temple of Glass Prologue & 1 (spotlight) and 12 D.O.C A Frosty Situation (spotlight). n_n
*can't think of anything else 3:*

I would like to be in the Artisans team, as I am very slow at thinking up gameplay, but I always like scenery. ^_^ I am terrible at logic but I sometimes add a bit for aesthetic effects. And while I am being honest, the thermometer and me are mortal enemies. Since we are collaborating on levels I will try my best not to totally hog it for scenery only. D: But I don't often suffer from lag. (Don't ask me why <_>) I specialise in glass, but I always like to try out new material combinations. Oh, and I am a sticker addict. :3

Despite a very annoying life consisting mostly of school and how it constantly throws exams at me, I will stick with the team.

1. Because I have followed Kindred's progress from before I have joined, and always really wanted to help out.
2. I am too filled with cowardice to risk the Hoarder's wrath.

Uh...thats it. HOW CAN PEOPLE WRITE SO MUCH?

HOW CAN PEOPLE WRITE SO MUCH?

Because everybody's going into detail about theirs. You've pretty much summed up everything about your skills.

But don't worry, I've played your levels, and they've made my choice very clear.

Don't worry guys. I'll try to get on this more often now... I'ma browse your information guys. And I'll discuss this with the team too. I can;t let CyberSora be the only guy leading the project, he needs help. and I'm proud to see that CyberSora picked this project up. Time to get as much done over the summer. x)

Edit: By the way! I have had an inside look with some of you guys at creating because of PS3. So don't be scared of anything, because I liked the stuff you all did on LBP2. (By all, I mean only the people I've played with on LBP2 before.) However, don't expect automatic join, just better standards. x) Lol.

Well, I suppose I shall just post my "application" here. If it's too late, sorry for wasting your time.

Levels and Accomplishments

- The Color of Music (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=29226-The-Color-of-Music-*Spotlight-Nod*-%28COMPLETED%29), Spotlighted, and Nominated for Most Outstandingly Original Level of 2010
- Coffee Cake (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=42190-Coffee-Cake-by-eagerneph-*SPOTLIGHTED*), Spotlighed

Gameplay Skills

The only type of levels that I have created so far are platformers. They don't have any story implemented into them, they are simply platformers. I enjoy creating a very dynamic feel while playing so that you always feel like something is moving. I believe that I have at least some talent in the gameplay area, if you would like to consider that for yourself, you may play my levels!

Visual Skills

I suppose that I have some skill in the visual department, and use many stickers (when necessary) and layers to create an unparalleled visual experience. In the Color of Music, I used many, many stickers to give the level the feel that I wanted. In Coffee Cake, it was very different, as I used almost no stickers. Instead I used different materials and layers to give a different visual effect.

http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/Coffee%20Cake/IMG_3444.jpg

I have some experience in working in a group project. As I'm involved in the Journey Project on the PS3 side of things. I'd appreciate it if I was to be considered to be in the Kindred project. I believe that I could be a great contribution to the group. If you don't think that I've said enough about my work, then please, play my levels!

Okay, I'll have to update the OP soon with this following message:

For those wondering when we're closing the sign-ups, we're leaving them open until we feel we have found enough members. Setting up a deadline is rather unfair to those offline for the time being, or others who have just heard about this from other LBP fansites. Once we feel we have made a reasonable decision, we'll close the sign-ups, PM the users we approve of, and announce their involvement in the project later on (method of announcement has yet to be discussed on).

I hope that answers your questions.

Can't you guys let the people who made it in, a part of the project, now? That way they can get to work while you guys wait for more signups.

I don't see the point of delaying progress just to see if anyone else wants to signup.

@silver its possible someone might come in late that would be better for the job. So they're probably waiting for more people to apply to see who's best before they lock people in.2011-06-25 16:57:00

Two can play at that game:

We don't want too many members on board, so we're going to decide on them at the same time. If we go with your method of PM-and-wait-for-more, then what will happen if we find another good Creator but have too many on our team? Do we let go of one of our own for the better Creator? To avoid this dilemma we'll send the PMs one time only, so nobody feels like they didn't get a chance to join.

Another thing: how would you guys even know you're in? It's through PMs, hence we want to keep the new members' involvement private. People will have no way of telling who's in it or not, and people who will be PM'ed will be sworn to keep it like this until we announce it.

Game, set, and match!

I do like the idea of waiting for more people incase there's some great creator that comes along later, but there's also a project that needs more people to work on.

You guys don't want to wait too long. I'm guessing you want the last level out before LittleBigPlanet Vita comes out. That's about 5 months for somewhere around 16 more levels. It seems to me the more help as soon as possible the better.

It's a big decision. You do want to wait to see if more people will apply, but you also don't want to wait too long.

Hey, i'd love being apart of this project as well! I honestly didnt know of this thread till now, so I might be too late. I'm pretty good with visuals and character design. I just created the Black knight from monty python and its up in my moon. I'm hightly skilled with logic, but I'm sure the rest of the team is as well. I can honestly do any position you need done (no thats what she said intended). I'm also on the spotlight backlog team, so that proves I'm good at team projects. Would really appreciate it if you considered me, thank you!2011-07-17 16:08:00
