The Giant Forgotten Facility
Archive: 10 posts
Hello everyone! nice day today, isnt it? yea, i think so! Ok, i want to let everyone know about my newest (and first 'real&apos level. my focus was on making a setting that was inside a facility with a very dark, if not sometimes frightening mood. I must admit it does not have something like a storyline, but i payed very much attention to detail and athmosphere. http://playstationeu.i.lithium.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/192255iA318EF6A33E90560/image-size/medium?v=mpbl-1&px=-1 You will not get any hints or tips at all, the level is meant to be discovered on your own, you need to find out what to do now. i tried not to make it to hard to find out what you have to do now. judging from the reviews i've already gotten, it has succseeded. http://playstationeu.i.lithium.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/192256i032EF7AF7F88D6E5/image-size/medium?v=mpbl-1&px=-1 also, there are some little secrets to be found (hidden point bubbles) so, please give my level a try. i would like to get some feedback, and i would also like to give some. mainly i want to know in which aspects i can improve my levels or my style. so just tell me whats 'oh so' bad about it. thanks in advance! =D http://lbp.me/v/01k0sj | 2011-06-16 19:39:00 Author: Unknown User |

hey, thanks for the reviews you guys gave! i recently showed my level to a friend (online) and he was also in total awe about the level, BUT: he said the ending could be bigger.. what does everyone who already played this level think? should i go over the ending sequenze again and make it more glorious/bigger? please leave a reply. =D | 2011-06-18 11:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
ill have to play it again and see. but from what i remember it was fine the way it was...but you can always improve something and make it better. so if you feel it needs to be a little improved id say go for it. but anyway im gona play it again and later and ill leave u a review | 2011-06-18 11:50:00 Author: wolfy_616 Posts: 202 |
played this level last night. first, there are some nice visuals here. everything kind of flows together. I did get stuck and had to quit out. may give it a go again another time. | 2011-06-18 19:42:00 Author: juscallmeJ Posts: 77 |
Positives: +I liked the intro coming down the elevator, gets you a good sense of the level before you hit the ground +The design of the level was built really good to +Visuals looked good +Gameplay was okay +The elevator puzzle was pretty smooth, like how you had to pull the box off the top of the elevator to get through the crack Negatives: -Didn't really have any negatives, probably think the camera view in the beginning could be pushed up a tab but its not that serious it still worked pretty fine so other then that good job. So I enjoyed the gameplay in this level, and the puzzles were varied and it kept me interested. I found the huge variety of materials used to be distracting and confusing - I would not have known what to call the theme if the title didn't call it a facility. I'm actually very impressed that you managed to stay under thermo restrictions with so many materials. I was also confused but the little room with the grab sensor in the corner and the flashing lights that then partially filled with gas before just opening up again. I didn't really understand what that was or why it was there. I also had minor trouble and got stuck on top of the elevator with the boxes while it was down, but a quick retry put me back on track, so not a major complaint. Finally, I was all ready to comment on the big ending you mentioned but I don't know what you were referring to? The elevator with the lights at the very end? I guess you could take this as a vote for making it bigger and better if you want it to be noticed? But as I said, the gameplay and puzzles kept me interested and sticking around to finish the level was no sacrifice. If I didn't make you too mad with my feedback you have a chance to get revenge and tell me all the problems you run into with mine (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=58499-Silence-in-the-LIbrary). | 2011-06-20 01:09:00 Author: silmedriel Posts: 64 |
wow! thanks to all of you! i didnt thought of that much positive feedback! thanks. but there has also been criticism which im glad some of you gave! i wanna know how you encountered the little room with the grab sensor. was it too much of a challenge finding out what to do now? as silmedriel said: its not obvious why it is there, but thats another point. i was just worried that too few players will know what to do. also, i now think that im gonna go over the ending, once i figure something nice out. | 2011-06-20 21:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
