Switching cameras back and forth

Archive: 3 posts

While working on my level. I found another thing I just couldnt pull off.
I have 2 cameras. one that focuses on the little begin-space, and one that focuses on the actual level.
After the level is completed, I want the camera to go back to the little begin space. But it just stays there.
Also, Is it possible to keep the player from leaving the controllinator until it gets an input?

For the cameras, this is what I would do. Create a 3-output selector, and wire up the second and third inputs into the two cameras you mentioned. By default, set the selector to output 2. Have whatever activates the "actual level" movie camera wired into the third input in the selector. Then, wire whatever you want to RE-activate the "begin-space" camera into the second output. This way, you can easily switch back and forth between cameras. This is what the first unused output is for:

If at any point you want to deactivate the other two cameras, you must create a third camera. Change the settings so the camera only is active for 0 seconds. Wire whatever you want to deactivate the other camera(s) into the first selector output, and wire the first selector output into the new 0-second camera. The result is that all cameras become deactivated until the selector input is changed once again. With OR switches, you can switch between all camera modes with ease.

As for your controllinator question, I don't completely understand. By default sackboy/sackbot stays in the controllinator. Yes, I believe you can wire an input into the controllinator so that it kicks you out.
