Requesting a logo and banner

Hello awesome artists! I am in need of help. I recently started my website, radioplaystation.com (http://radioplaystation.com) and I have no logo or banner I made a lame twitter logo:

but we would love it if we could have something better. I had an idea of a dualshock wearing headphones...but, we are pretty open to anything you artists can come up with. The site is for our radio station, where we discuss all things Playstation, if that was not sort of obvious...but ya, anyways...If you guys could help out, that would be great. We don't really have any money to offer, but we have a LBP shirt from Comic-Con last year:

The shirt is a Men's Large and has never been worn. It still has the tag on it. If we choose your design, you can have the shirt as payment, if you would like.

Heres what I came up with they are two similair designs. The lines coming from the joypad is a music equaliser, like you see in any music program. This links within the radio part of the name. I like how the triangle, square, circle and 'x' symbols appear over it to, like it's flowing out of the airwaves. I chose a light blue color so that it's eye pleasing and looks fresh. Blue gives the feel of 'lightness' to the airwaves, if it was any other color it would be to "heavy" on the design.

let me know what you think. Any aspects of the design can be changed. I've also messaged you with other designs that I have created on the computer but this was my personal favourite and I felt as it was the strongest.

Any other feedback of any users would also be helpful and appreciated.

As for the Tshirt and if you chose my design, please draw the other users names out of a hat and use a "prize draw" type to decide who gets it.

@Sackgirlsrule- That is a pretty cool banner. Not quite sure if that is what we are looking for, but I do think it is cool.

@Alismuffin- Sure, if we pick your design and you want to pay for the shipping all the way over there, then yes, we will send it to you

@dbibby88- Holy crap, that looks awesome!!! I want to make a tshirt with that logo on it. That logo is legit! I like the second version of it best. Any way you could make a banner to go with that for the website? And yes, we can do that with the shirt, very generous of you!		2011-06-22 20:54:00

Do you know what size exactly you want your banner to be? I'm new to the whole 'making things for the internet', I can design them, I'm just not sure on pixel sizes. I'll go off the current banner size you have for your website.

Are you okay with the colour? I checked your website and yours is red and black, would the blue be okay? If it was you'd probably have to adapt/change some of the colours.

haa and I'm glad you agreed to the tshirt, I'm designing things at the moment so I can add it to my blog as experience so I can try get my first design job. So I'd be greaftul if you allowed me to upload it to my blog? My blog is under my signature if your interesting in looking.

and also, would the design need 'home, contact us, contents, donate' on the banner?

The color is perfect. I just happened to make our current banner and logo read and black, but I really like the blue. The banner is supposed to be 940 ? 198 pixels. The part with home and all that is not part of the banner, the red rectangle is the banner, so you would not need to add Home and all that. Oh, and you can totally add it to your blog. I actually checked out your blog yesterday, there is some great stuff on there. You can email the high res image and all that to contact@radioplaystation.com2011-06-22 21:31:00

cool okay, I'll make the banner 940 by 198 pixels and make it blue. If you were to add a 'black bar' underneath, I'd consider making it white to contrast the white in the logo.

I'll work on different layouts tonight and I'll figure out which one to use. It might get to tomorrow night when I send you the final artwork and email you it and the high resolution logo. Would that be ok? It's just I have work early tomorrow and I'm off to bed soon haha. It'll give me more time to think to.		2011-06-22 21:42:00

I've finally found the time to upload the imagery I made for you up on to my blog. I've also added a design to a tshirt, haa take a look and see what you guys think.
