Emitting object problem
Archive: 3 posts
Hi, i've hit a bit of a snag when trying to implement some "logic" into my level, and was wondering if anyone may be able to help me with my problem. Basically, i'm trying to have a crosshair emitted with one button, and have it detonated with another. My problem is that I can't map any functions to the crosshair, since once it's emitted, it's disconnected from the controlinator. Is there an easier way to get this concept to work properly? Many thanks in advance. | 2011-06-16 06:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
In the controlinators settings change the "Remote Control" setting to "Transmitter" and choose a colour. Then place another controlinator on the object that you want to control. In the settings for this one set it to "Receiver" and choose the same colour as the first. This means that whatever you do in the first seat will transmit to any receivers of ther same colour. All you'll have to do is hook up the wires from the receiver to whatever you want them to do. This way you'll be able to emit an object that can be controlled by an already present controlinator. Hope this makes sense | 2011-06-16 09:59:00 Author: SneakySteve1983 Posts: 121 |
Or you could have the button you want to destroy the object connected to a tag, have a tag sensor (same colour as tag) set to a really large range on your crosshair, then connect that to the destroy logic. | 2011-06-16 12:06:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
