Help Setting an Actor Sackbot on a Controllinator

Is it possible to have a Sackbot with a separate ACTING BEHAVIOR on his logic board, while he is using a CONTROLLINATOR?

At the moment, if I activate that ACTING BEHAVIOR (Him pressing DOWN on the RIGHT STICK), he performs the action, but EXITS the CONTROLLINATOR. Is there a way to STOP him from doing this?

I just had a look myself, and by the looks of things, no. Sackbots definitely cannot enter Controllinators while following Act Routines. So, if he's already in it, and you change to an Act Sackbot Chip, he'll always hop out, or if you record the routine from outside the Controllinator, there's no option to get in.

Shame that. You could always just set up AI to perform whatever the Sackbots act would've been, mind. All things considered, it's probably more reliable that way.

Just an idea, and you'll have to try it out:

Put the bot into the Controlinator and stick a receiving controlinator on the bot's chip. Now, offscreen place another bot that has a transmitting chip on his circuitry. Set that bot to act and record the actions. Now, play back and keep an eye on the seated bot. Does he copy the actions of the offscreen bot? Probably (hopefully?) only the head and arm actions, if any...?

I think that would work (and am very curious as to whether or not it does). Remember when we were trying to make a bot wield the knife? It worked after some tweaking to the controlinator on the blade.

It works!

The animations ain't much; the bot in the seat will be animating to not much more than left/right movement, but apart from that all movements that the acting bot makes do end up as control actions on the seat controlinator transferred through the seated bot. So if it is not for the cosmetics but more for a prerecorded A.I. action (on a vehicle that is generic and can also be controlled by players), yeah great.
