My son performed the glitch right when it came out. I spent a couple days trying to fix it back then, without success. I told him he was probably going to have to wait for media molecule to put out a patch or update or something. He hasn't played the game since then until last night. There has been at least one update that ran when he started the game. He still cannot spawn. I spent hours last night reading forum posts trying to figure out how to fix it. I tried every suggestion I found without any luck fixing it. This is very disappointing. He has spent hundreds of hours playing LBP1 to get all the things he has collected. He only had a few days with LBP2 and it is completely broken. I would hate to see him have to delete his profile and start over. I don't think he would even agree to that. This whole thing has made him very sad (it is his favorite game). I am absolutely heart broken and wish I could come up with an answer for him. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?

I did and it didn't work, so I took the data backup I made before. Still, now i don't trust people who tell me : sure it's safe, do the glitch

I have tried following those steps. We spent a couple hours trying it over and over. Is there anything else I can try? Is there going to be a patch or update that will fix this? I hate to say it, but if MM doesn't figure this out, they just lost a future costumer and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Yes. This method comes from xFreeze. Make a thin piece of cardboard (or any material, really). Put a bolt on it. Put a controllinator on the cardboard too. Bolt it to your sackboy (stand behind it, move cardboard with pop it, press X when bolt is in front of head) and enter the controllinator. Grab the cardboard with your pop it. DO NOT LET GO OR MOVE OR RESIZE AT ALL. Join a friend while still holding on to yourself. Your costume should reset and the bug will be removed.

All these fixes ought to be collated into one thread and made a sticky since it comes up relatively often on these forums.
