Into the Future: PS Vita

Hey guys! I know it's early to say this but... When the Vita comes out and you get LBP for it, what will you do? Will you create epicness? Friend me then play with me? Try not to flip out that the vita came? Or maybe just test and admire the features of the game? discuss. 2011-06-15 11:40:00

I got totally lost in the transition from LBP to LBP2 on PS3.. so hopefulyl just get to grips with the features, play the story mode and create!

Nope! I will not be getting a Vita, nor any other Sony console. After PS2, they lacked the RPGs I bought it for. Plus, if it's going to be almost exactly like LBP 2, why would I get it?2011-06-15 17:05:00

This game is pretty much LBP2 but portable. So once I get it, I'm playing through story, getting the items, and immediatly start creating my new series. (As long as Val and Cory don't keep interrupting me. )2011-06-15 17:20:00

Well, considering the Vita will support trophies, my first and foremost goal will be getting the platinum. I'll doubtlessly do little in the way of creativity here, and will more than likely just boost within systems like H4H, P4P, until I get my trophies.

Afterwards, I'll set up a nice profile and figure out what my Vita Sackboy is gonna look like (although with cross-platform costume support I guess it'll just be my PS3 sack?). Here I'll play some of the first quality levels and just goof off.

After that, I'll give the editor a cautious but hopeful try, and see if I can create in it. If so, you can expect more Blue levels from me. (I've been kicking around ideas for, say "Cerulean Caverns". ) If not... well, I'll be around for feedback and the like. =/

I know what I'd do! (finally) finish Libishooter...make a cool sig... you won't recognize me, as my future PSN will be ninja_piggeh(that's right, sackboy7789 will be left behind on PSP.) And since Thinking with Portals will be done by the time the vita is here, I will remake it. AND...ummm...friend all the wonderful PSPers that I know here and either it will be awesome(me,nys, thorn, and val FTW!) or I will become too much for them to handle. and MINI DLC!!!2011-06-15 22:11:00

Just like Fading-Dreams. I'm not gonna buy Vita or any device with Sony console. Though Vita is awesome. I will wait till I get some updates from my friends and then I will think to buy this ****.2011-06-17 14:01:00

I feel so left out
I probably wont get it right away and if I get this at the same speed I have for everything else I wont get this till about six months to a year after it comes out but when I do get it I WILL CREATE EPICNESS!

The main thing that stops me from creating on the ps3 is portability. I just can't create that well unless I can do it wherever I want. I will probably get Vita just for this game, I plan to do a lot of creating for it. 2011-07-02 13:49:00

Well. The Vita looks like it's going to be a great gaming console we can agree on that. LBP 2 I think will be better on the 3G model (Unless you are solely a story mode player). On the whole however i'm just looking forward to seeing the PS Vita and playing on it not just LBP 2 but all of the games.2011-07-07 23:35:00

Not necessarily. Considering how other games' main portions consist of playing online, LBP2 would be just fine with the Wi-Fi only version. However, if for some reason Sony doesn't require a contract and just an initial extra payment, count me in for buying the Vita. Otherwise, I don't see a point for myself to get it having a PS3 and LBP2 where you Vita guys can still see my creations if not play with me as well. I realize it has extra features and admit it's the next step for portable gaming, but it simply isn't anything more without that 3G portability for me. It would just be like me holding my PS3 in my hands along with a screen, sitting on the same couch I play my PS3 on.

Does anyone know if PS3 LBP2 players can play with Vita LBP players? Or can Vita users only play PS3 users creations?

Hopefully neither.

Otherwise, I'll have to hang up my popit. It's disappointing.

I suppose if the LBVita community merged with the LBP2 community, the current situation of over populisation will only get worse. I see enough people struggling to get plays on LBP2.
As well as that, it would be a disappointment that the PS3 can play PSVita levels because that would then mean the Vita is not an improvement at all. But since it is and has touch controls, I doubt the ps3 will be able to handle vita levels.

Gosh! I REALLY want to friend and create with the PSPers for 1 reason: learn to build things with others. Also, BIG projects will become way easier to do on the PSV. Also also, I totally forgot about making short films..,2011-07-08 06:40:00

Even if it isn't compatible, the community will still be larger than this one sadly.

Yes, but if Cory manages to keep them away, they wont have a Vita, and thus won't be a Vita player, but a PS3 player. P*Prepares to get pwned by rtm*

Somehow one doubts the compatibility of LBP PS3 and LBP PS Vita. Take the touch features for example. There is no real easy way to replicate them on a PS3. One hopes for a small but buzzing community with a fine balance of good levels created by good happy gadders and those who wish to play them. I think this is easily possible. Do you?2011-07-12 14:45:00

Small, I think not unfortunately.
The Vita may become as popular as the PS3 - the trailers certainly show potential - and hence the LBPVita community will not be small at all.
Regardless, I'm keen

I actually think it'd be good that some PS3er's show up.

From how our community stands right now, it looks like we need it.

Also, we're probably going to get some new people here too.
Another system, another game, another pack of new players. :3

I'll surely buy PS Vita, complete story mode and start creating. I've already come up with the idea of First Person "Magi-Shooter". It's going to be like FPS, but here you need to paint a glyph of the spell you want to use with front touch panel and then choose where you will use this spell with rear touch panel. I think that you'll be able to go to Spells Menu, choose a spell, and then there appears a copy of the glyph you need to paint, and you just need to paint the figure with your finger.2011-07-20 14:11:00
