Aaaaggggghhhh!!!! X(

Ok, so I make music on LBP, and not to brag or anything, but I am pretty good; and people acknowledge that! Alot of famous creators have played, hearted and liked my level as well. I get nothing but posative feedback as well! NO JOKE!

WHY THEN, ARENT I GETTING PLAYS!? I even have my own youtube page! I know that It may be because its a gallery and not a level, but I see really horrible music and bad levels getting WAY more playes than me. If you DO think its because my music is bad, just queue my level and play it! Its good music that I put hours into composing and converting into LBP2 songs. I have no idea why my level isnt getting recognized! HELP ME LITTLE BIG PLANET COMMUNITY! DX

(Sorry if I seem a tad angry. I diddnt have my coffee this morning lol)

That is more plays than my levels combined. Since music appears to be your strong point, have you thought of joining forces with other creators and publish levels together? I see plenty of posts going around from people asking for musicians. There is fame to be made.

I've gone through and listened to every one of your songs. There are three I particularly enjoyed, I've forgotten their names, but they might have been something like 'swamp', 'iron nebula', and another, 'atomic' or 'nuclear' or something.

The only issue I find with your music, and it is a rather strange issue, is that it can only really be used by itself. It's hard to actually use your music in a scene or setting simply because it's 'too' good. My thoughts are that you try to incorporate too many parts to your pieces. There is no definite 'action' song, or 'despair' song, and that is what most people tend to need. It's great music, but it's just too complex for general use for other creators (though the importance of that depends on whether you're making music for others or for yourself)

That doesn't explain your lack of plays though, but something you could try to do is directly make music for other creators, and ask them to put a level link or key to your level. That could potentially drive many players to your level (which is very well made btw).

You're doing an amazing job with the songs, but it's just hard to find a use for them.

You could try posting more just to give your sig more visibility, but it'd have to be kept within reason.

I fully agree with is said here. It is 'too good' that I myself find it hard to put it to a level. Even the cave level I'm working on I was tempted to use (and credit you) the Eerie swamp one but somehow it just doesn't fit in or to any scenes I have.

But deifnitely refresh your sig and let everyone know about your updates and tweaks on the forums. The level link and key idea is a very good one. With the millions of other levels out there you have to hustle a bit more to get out there more.

If your level is more than a few days old with no republishes then the chances of getting plays is slim. I find that levels get played in the first few days quite a lot and then go stagnant. Try getting your name out there by posting (constructive) reviews (perhaps on other music levels) and hearting your favourite authors/levels. Being active in the community makes plays happen.

As mentioned above, many people on here would kill for good original music in their level. Seek them out in the forums and make music to their specification. I haven't heard your stuff but if it is very niche then others may find it hard to get into their levels.

Well, I know what you mean with my older songs, but some of my more atmospheric pieces (eerie swamp and creeping vines, for example) I really tried to make useable in a level. Regarding the "action" and "dispair" songs, that isnt something Ive really thought about. Ive tried to make scary sounding music, but to no avail. Also, I might just try asking other music creators Im friends with (Fyshokid and SevenIsaCannibal) to possibly reccomend my music in one of their levels. Anyway, thanks for the tips and honest criticism! Ill try some stuff you said to do today!

I feel exactly the same way as you've put it. It's a shame I've played a some surprising levels that are very good and yet only have a handful of play or under 100. I'm hoping when I publish my level (1 main story, 2nd a sub level link) that it gets a decent amount of plays.

Or you find stupid ones like this: Free Items & Unlock Trophies!!Please give me many hearts!! and bomb survival rubbish. No joke about the Free items..hearts one I just saw it on lbp.me

Here's another one: Lvl to help get Platinum Trophy, or this one person that has 13 levels all called the same, lh4h-4 heart me i heart you and h4h1, h4h2, h4h3 and guess what h4h4. Seriously. There should really be some sort of filter for this on lbp.me or in your pod. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with tropihes, it's just the way others go about it. Even it is a H4H type level going into a forums that does H4H etc and trophy hunting is best.

Funny to see this thread, I just played your level about 3 days ago and I found the songs to be amazing. They certainly deserve more attention, then again, my level is way better than half of the crap that gets 1,000+ plays. Thats just how it goes.2011-06-15 18:42:00
