The opening cut scene was fantastic. It put your level in context with the world of the pre made levels. However, one of the first obstacles, the one with the platforms on the pistons, could use some more work visually and technically. Finding the right way to get across drained up all my levels, and I would only have one once I got to the darkness visibility test part, at which point I would would not last long and be forced to restart. It was also too easy to get stuck on edges of the bounce pad that weren't in the ground, which was rather annoying, and often got me killed. The level is promising but the execution needs work. Keep working on it, and you'll eventually a great level.

Thank you so much for playing through and reviewing my level. Now time for yours:

Wow! Humor is a definite medicine for the soul (sorry that was cheesy), and the opening cutscene was seriously nothing short of it! In my opinion, you were able to capture the right attitude and behavior of each of the story characters (except Eve and Avalon since they didn't say anything XD), despite this being somewhat of a fanfiction! Fantastic job on that! However, I also don't see how this is demonstrating what a Sackbot 2.0 is capable of like what WarrioroftheWind was saying in his review. I didn't like how easy it was to mess up due to the bouncepads not being engrained into the ground, but I guess that kinda adds to the challenge, huh? :o Being electrified while on those things confused me a bit too, because I didn't notice the electricity around them until I sat there and stared for a bit. But I did notice that the bouncepad lift right after that did not seem to react to me as soon as I stepped onto it. I ended up dying and losing the last of my lives due to sliding off of the lift as soon as it started moving. xD Ouch! Overall, I really enjoyed the cutscene, but I did not see anything new going on with this Sackbot.

I have to agree almost entirely with the previous post. The cut scene was well done and humorous, but I'm glad you gave the option to skip it. I too really did not understand the bouncebot and what it had to offer us...??? It sure doesn't seem to "bounce" much at all. Can you explain it more to me/us? I can tell you spent some time on the intro, but it appears that you just hurried through the course without much thought. I can't speak for the whole course though, because I was unable to complete it. If I were you, I would first focus on the game play mechanics and obstacles and make sure they are solid, before addressing the look and feel of the course. I think a little more work and a few more checkpoints here might help...

F4F Options: Ka-Boom Basketball, Afro Troll or Golden Acorn

Hi, just played your level. As others seem to agree, the intro was brilliant and the character dialogue as if written by MM.

The level itself I had a few issues with. First off, I know it's a training simulation but that doesn't mean the whole level needs to be exactly the same, maybe introduce different colours and materials? Do you have the Metal Gear Solid DLC? That has some really good VR stuff in it. Other than that I think you need a lot more variation in the level, the different sections aren't all that different as it's mainly using the bounce pads to jump over obstacles. The sackbot 2.0 premise is a good one but the sackbot you play as is worse than the original as you have restricted jumping ability. Perhaps add more abilities to the sackbot to justify it being version 2? That way as well the level can be more varied. Also I didn't understand what I had to do at the stealth part.

I didn't finish the level as it glitched right at the end on the indestructable test was it? Before the cannon, there are two jump pads but the one on the right isn't glued down. It fell off down the hole so I had to try using the left one instead to make it into the cannon which proved extremely difficult. When I did enter the cannon, the movie triggered and I was shot towards what I think was the scoreboard, however on impact I was transported back up to the checkpoint just before the cannon... Seeing as I'd already used the cannon ball I was trapped there with nowhere to go. I could trigger the movie again, but nothing happened to my sackbot.

I hope that was contructive, I really did think your cut scene was amazing, but the level I feel needs improvement, sorry. I think even varying the environment will make a drastic improvement with very litle input. Good luck!

WHEN...(I just typed out like a life story and then the broswer went back a page so I'm a upset)
...I originally thought of this level I envisioned a sackbot wanted to get from point A to point B but they can't jump therefore the player turns on a Bounce Pad which allows the sackbot to get across. I am not sure if the cut scene I made for fun glorified the bot but people seemed less then impressed with the white robot.
"The general idea just wasn't very exiting. If you're going to make a sackbot give it somthing FUN to do!"
"I did not see anything new going on with this Sackbot."
"I too really did not understand the bouncebot and what it had to offer us...??? "
I didn't expect the sackbot had to do anything. Originally it was only there because there needed to be something to get to point B. Yet as the general view audience agrees with each other I would want to make a level worthy of playing for them. Don't worry the next level in the series will include alot of fancy machinery. Regardless I can't live with a level that I worked on for several weeks having such a major point wrong with it. I don't want the player to feel limited (how they do now) nor do I want them to feel limitless. WHat do you want the sackbot to do without tarnishing the original point A to B example I gave you. Example (I want them to fly!) I want them to shoot ketchup out of their ears! I would like to keep it linear and on the ground please (not underground either) Have it center around bounce pads is all.
REWARD Because you are so awesome and special I will play and give feedback on all of your levels posted on lbpcif you give me an amazing idea. Thank You for your time

Positives:
+Intro to the level was pretty good
+Obstacles were well done
+Like how you can control the bounce pads with O

Negatives:
-The jump pad thing that starts moving I think should start sooner than what it does
-When you stand on the platform with the piston it constantly goes up and down real slow, I dont know if you meant it to be like that or what but think you should fix that

Rated: Neutral -The level was fun at some points and at some other points it bored me some but overall it was a good level put together using a sackbot so good job.

When Vmpop says he worked on it for weeks he does mean weeks. Lol Everytime I got on he was on in create working away at his creation to be. The thing is he worked on the level more than the cutscene. except people seem to be liking the cutscene alot more lol.

I understand the difficulties on the platforms that moved up and down followed by the darkness test. Thats why he has changed it drastically. I think he has improved it from all the feedback this thread has provided him with.

Now, as for my feedback.

The level itself I had a few issues with. First off, I know it's a training simulation but that doesn't mean the whole level needs to be exactly the same, maybe introduce different colours and materials?

I agree with this somewhat, I do think it may need some more color, but the layout is absolutely wonderful I think. Maybe for the levels to come you could set it in a different environment other than a training facility.

Do you have the Metal Gear Solid DLC? That has some really good VR stuff in it. t
That may look nice, buthe was trying to make it flow. Maybe different lights to add color?

Other than that I think you need a lot more variation in the level, the different sections aren't all that different as it's mainly using the bounce pads to jump over obstacles.

lol it is called BounceBot for a reason but there may be some different ways you could use the bouncepads that you havent already.

The sackbot 2.0 premise is a good one but the sackbot you play as is worse than the original as you have restricted jumping ability. Perhaps add more abilities to the sackbot to justify it being version 2?
The restricted jumping ability is the reason for the bouncepads. Also if you hold X while in air it can be used as a slow motion thing. When we were testing the level this was very useful, and in some spots it still is, even after all the changes Vmpop has made.

Also I didn't understand what I had to do at the stealth part

Stealth part was used as a comedy. You automatically fail it. no matter what. The robot is sleeping, then he wakes up and gets angry for you waking him up. that is why it is trying to smoosh you.

lol

If you haven't already noticed, i was there helping Vmpop. Thats why I know so much about it.
