Hi guys. Here is my level for you to put under the microscope. All feedback welcome and of course I will check out your work in return.

If anything, it's worth checking out just for the music

Hi - just played your level, firstly congrats on the music sequence, that must have taken you a while to say the least!
You had a number of interesting sections in there, the controlinator stone column puzzle I liked and thought that was original, although at first I thought I had to put the girl rescued on the top and guide it through..

The minotaurs were pure evil but acted well with the grunt also..
Personally, I did fined the music a bit full on for that type of level, but its your choice ultimately.

Overall, good job

Cheers.

@DizaumBR - I've queued your level. Will play it tonight.

@Flatbadger - Queued your level for tonight. Thanks for the comments. Appreciated. I know the music is a bit crazy. I might make a mini level with just the music and a sackboy on a church organ.

if you can check out my level " Nature's solitude" which is more of a scenic visual level with some platforming gameplay

edit: just checked out your level. it was a good level though a bit rough around the edges. the music was well done.
i do agree that the car was really out of place for a minotaur themed level, maybe a horse drawn chariot may have been more appropriate.
the visuals were also a bit bland maybe try a couple different color/textured materials to break up the all rock material
good effort though and i did have fun with it.

I'm assuming this might be your first published level? I didn't see any others on your planet. I id like the one puzzle with the blue block where you had to move it in out. Otherwise there were some parts that need some cleaning up. There were some parts of the floor that weren't glued down and would come up when running over them. There are several areas by the "car" where you can fall through to the bottom of your level and live. I wasn't a fan of the car thing at all. It seemed completely out of place here. I also managed to rescue one of my guys in the flying thing, but then later I pull a switch that presents him a bridge, but now he's stuck in my hover thing? Was he going to follow me the rest of the way?

I like that you tried a number of different ideas and if this your first level...bravo for checking out all the tools. However, you might have had too much of some stuff and sometimes less is more as the saying goes... On your next level, try working a little more on the small details that can help separate your level from others. Good luck and I'll be interested to see your next attempt!

When you get a chance, please provide me some feedback on ether my Ka-Boom Basketball, Afro Troll or Golden Acorn levels in my sig. Thanks!

Hey there reiverx just played your level and thought for a first attempt it was actually pretty good seeing as my first ever level was awfull.

Firstly the music was wonderful. I thought it really made the level. I also liked the look of the level although some parts were just to square and straight though not really a big issue.

I liked the minotaurs quite a lot and put on my dark inotaur costume to play this. I thought though that it was a bit strange killing minotaurs with a paint gun it just didn't fit well as when i first came up against the minotaur my thoughts were "oh no how will i kill it" then i droped the wall on its head and ithought it was great. I was hoping for more puzzels in the way to defeat them so the paint gun just wasn't right.

The bit with the car was entertaining but also didn't fit well i thought. I do like how you used all the tools to create diffen't things to solve puzzels but some of it wasn't right for this kind of level.
I did like the tall blue block puzzle though.

I acccidently squashed all the sackpeople i had rescued with the car which was a little annoying as i was hoping to free all of them.

When you an please test out my Heavy Calibre level in my sig. Thanks

This was an enjoyable level to play. Generally, I liked the visuals, but they could use a little more detail. The car and paintinator felt out of place. Some sort of sword action would have fit this beautifully. I think the gameplay could have benefited from more variety, so I would have loved more puzzles like how you kill the first minotaur and the block puzzle at the end. The minotaurs themselves looked very good and did what they were supposed to, and the Bach transcription was excellent. My biggest suggestion would be to constantly ask yourself if everything about the level-scenery, gameplay, music, etc.-fit within the theme you want to create. All in all, good job, and I hope to see more from you.2011-06-17 05:25:00

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your comments. Very much appreciated. I will gather all your input and focus it on another level, possibly with the same theme but more puzzles. The blue puzzle seems to be the most popular part of the level which is interesting because it was really an afterthought. Funny how that works out.

I will check out all your levels tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again.
