Moving an object with controllinator in different directions.
Archive: 2 posts
How would this be done, like in the mini golf game that is MM picked. I am attempting to apply this concept to a level in which the object moves in the beginning, stops, then i am able to move it again in any direction i would like. I want to be able to move the object again. Its kinda hard to explain. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to be able to do it myself so i can learn for future use, but i would really like it if you could maybe try to explain how you would do it if possible. Would you use a piece of hologram, a bolt, and a joystick rotator to aim the object? I can get that part down but when i used the mover, if i turned it to the left and delivered the move sequence, it still ended up moving to the right. I may be way wrong but if you could help that would be great! | 2011-06-13 18:25:00 Author: Unknown User |
The object continuing to move to the right despite being aligned otherwise might be as simple as local space not being enabled on the mover. The way to think of it is as simply delaying the player input from being acted on. The player aligns the object how they like and presses the confirmation button or however you have it set up and only then are their inputs acted on. AND gates are ideal for this since you can control when a signal can go through them by using the other port(s) for an enable/disable signal. | 2011-06-13 18:41:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |
