i heard it was accidental, but no one knows, he just finished a great movie, and there was nothing wrong with his life,(from what I know) so I don't think he tryed to kill himself

What do I think of it? Overrated. Very good, yes. But not brilliant. Heath Ledger's performance was very solid, but not inspired. Batman (hence the title) wasn't fleshed out, particularly after Rachel. It wasn't as tightly constructed as the first.

I definitely liked it. But "ever" doesn't apply.

Just to clear somethig up from the first page, it is NOT called "the Dark Knight" because of anything to do with the Joker. The Dark knight is one of the many nicknames given to Batman, along with the caped crusader and many others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Good movie, not great.

I was standing outside best buy in the cold for 2 hours for the midnight release. Grabbed the limited edition blu-ray copy with batman's motorcycle. Definitely one of the greatest movies ever.2008-12-10 10:21:00

I highly doubt he ODied because he was scared of the Joker... >_>

i heard that he was so committed to the role that he locked himself in a hotel room for a month to get into his edgy shifty character. so that mite have something to do with it. plus he recently separated from his wife or girlfriend didn't he?

i saw it twice. first at imax and second just in a normal cinema. I love this film and will see it again in the near future but upon my second viewing i enjoyed it alot less because i felt that there were a few plot holes and random things that had little to do with the story. i cant list them off the top of my head sorry :o

definitely best film of the year. top 5 of the decade so far.

I love Batman, and this REALLY was just like the comics.

I think I'm getting it on Blu Ray for Christmas...

But... it was awesome.

I also like how they

didn't have Harvey Dent magically become Two Face, and turn into some gimmicky villian who robs banks, from the hope of all of Gotham- he merely went slightly crazy, and then died- providing a convinient way for Batman to cover up for him because they needed Dent more then he- and Dent didn't magically transform into such a gimmicky villian overnight. Makes more sense, really, and provides a nice twist on the Killing Joke storyline- in that, the Joker tried to make Commisoner Gordon insane to prove anyone can become just like him but failed- in this, he SUCCEDED in proving his point with another awesome villian. yeah.
