Problem with Point Bubbles

So this is the problem: I'm working on a new level where you control a sackbot with a DCS placed on a piece of hologram material that follows the sackbot. Now if I try to collect point bubbles in the middle or the back layer it doesn't work! It's a bit strange because I can collect the point bubbles in the front layer without any problems. | I'm not sure how this works but I think the object with the controlinator on it which the player is in, must touch the point/ prize bubble. So I'd make it a thick piece of hologam that follows the sackbot with ability to switch layers. Make the holo the same size you wish the sackbot's hit box to be and on the same layer the sackbot is. However.. bubbles on different layers do automatically collect in LBP if there is no obstruction and sackboy walks past them. Not sure how to replicate that. | are there more than one thin pieces of holo that follow the sdackbot at one time? if so you might have the issue of not being able to collect bubbles that are behind/in front of bits of material or objects. for example if sackboy is on the back layer and there is a thin bit of holo between back and middle layers then sackboy cant pick up any bubbles on the front or middle layers. could be to do with this or maybe what oneeyedbanshee said if this is the case you may have to make sure that all holo that follow the sackbot is thick layer rather than thin, this way he can pick up bubbles in all layers. | 2011-06-11 17:06:00 Author: Skalio-  Posts: 920 |
