Seriously!

Ok I just got news and got REALLY annoyed that under 18s cant get PSPLUS. Since im under 18 I cant get it. The one thing I really wanted from the Welcome Back package and im not allowed it. Why do I want it so much? So I can use to online storage to transfer my LBP2 Profile backup to my other PS3 without copying it. You cant move PSPLUS from account to another account either so I dont get it at all. Is this the same with anyone else!?2011-06-11 13:59:00

Well, same here.. You didn't put in a over 18 fake age on there? Because I did, I didn't want to, but I wouldn't be able to play Call of Duty or anything else rated M online with the under 18 account.. And I didn't want to have real info on there just in case of any hackers getting into it. So I was still able to get PS+

Sorry about your situation

No because I would put it in Online Storage then go to my other PS3 and take the backup off online storage and onto my other ps3.2011-06-11 19:51:00

Isnt there a way of copying it to a pen drive and taking it that way? I've never tried anything like that, but it has USB slots in the front?

Sorry if that is a stupid response.

Their must be other ways of transfering data between two ps3's?

You can do the USB stick thing, I suggest you do that. I was sensible enough to put a fake D.O.B on my PSN ... 2011-06-11 23:20:00

It has to do with your credit card information.

Users under 18 cannot purchase nor subscribe to anything from the PlayStation Store. With the PSN outage focusing on the possibility of credit card thefts, the Welcome Back Package mainly targeted 18+ users, because they would've more than likely purchased something from the PS Store, thus putting them at risk of credit card theft.

In short, it was a way to make up for putting consumers of the PS Store at ease by offering them that package. It wasn't intended to be for all users, because people under 18 were never in danger.

I'll echo whats already been said here, use a USB stick or some initiative and give a fake age when you make an account.2011-06-12 01:24:00

Not to dismiss your point entirely, but most things regarding any transaction in which you sign a legal contract require you to be an adult. Some contracts will allow you to have your parent or legal guardian sign on your behalf, but this is, in effect, what master and sub-accounts are designed to do. Legally speaking, the master account should be owned and operated by an adult, whereas sub-accounts can be populated by any minors within the same household.2011-06-12 01:52:00

It's meant for people who made their accounts before the PSN outage (or so I believe).

Besides, it's not like he'll be able to use the content on his real account. He'll have to use it on the fake one, which will be fine if he wishes to play without trophies or online multiplayer with his friends (because they don't know of the fake account).

MrFunctionality when you say "Use some initiative" That doesnt make me feel all to great, apart from the fact I had to put my real age because my dad was in the room and wanted me to and I didnt know at the time. I just didnt understand I had to be older for some things at the time which was back in primary school. Also I would use a pendrive but I dont like the idea of copying it because I would get that "You cant get any trophies as your profile has been copied" message which is REALLY annoying.2011-06-12 10:40:00

You can play plus content on your other accounts

wait wait , you have two ps3s? so how comes you have no space to store a few levels and gamesaves (i assume thats what you wanted to back up)

plus that still didnt answer my question of whether or not you lose access to online data when your free month runs out

I didn't have that problem with the LBP back up I had from my old Ps3 when I put it on my new one. I think it only gets problems if the save has been used on another account then backed up and restored to the original account.

Skallio I answered your question
No because I would put it in Online Storage then go to my other PS3 and take the backup off online storage and onto my other ps3. So I wouldnt lose the data. Rabid-Coot it did that with my brother PS3 and I dont fully understand

Also, don't save your profile. Instead, save the level itself. 2011-06-12 23:17:00

Haha you can't grumble at a 32p usb.

Usually companies give them away for free as well, if you can find any of them over the net.

Re: OP

I don't think you can use the PS+ online storage to move your LBP data anyway.
The LBP data saves to the "Game Data Utility" - not your "Save Data Utility" - so you can't use the online storage option; you need to use the Back Up utility from within LBP in order to transfer the data.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

If you make a back up of your save file, you can.
(Back ups appear on the save data utility.)

downloading shouldn't take long. I doubt you'd have to relpay all the levels as well considering they are all saved on your save game data.2011-06-13 17:14:00

Your level compete status would remain intact.

DLC will have to be redownloaded but they're all just a few kb.
