Boot Camp: Assessment

Hello again, friends! I have a new level that I'd like for you to check out and try! It's sort of a beta, since I don't consider it completely done yet. But, it's fully functional (I think [hope]) so you can get from start to finish with no problem. What I'm mostly looking for is certain glitches that I haven't found, some ideas for a spot that seems a bit awkward, etc.. So, please, play my level! Thanks!

I played it. I thought this was actually pretty cool. Lots of great ideas you put in here that I liked. I yaaaayed it

Suggestions:
-Change the level badge picture
-Make paths either shorter or have more obstacles. There were several areas that felt empty.
-Increase the amount of time given to get to the end. I was doing really well but still couldn't get there in time.
-Add a checkpoint right before that part with the trenches and laser gun

Thanks, Nick! Also, thanks for the suggestions too! So far, I've been able to implement the following from your suggestions.

Also, for future reference to anybody else who plays my level, could you give me a couple of things?
- Your final score
- How much time was left after you finished/ where you were when the timer ended?
- What was the most frustrating part?
- What part was the most confusing?
- (This isn't really a requirement if you didn't do this) If you found out the soldier secret?

i just tried it and really liked it, hence the heart = )

the start as mentioned before was a little bare but it helped for a head start. the under water bit was a little tricky because i wasn't sure what i was supposed to do. i liked the creatanator projectiles you made, the sickbay by the gates was a great idea. the bit with the trenches and the green laser slowed me down but i easily got passed it once i knew it was there. i didn't expect it to have such great lighting and clever cinematics but it did. i don't know how much thermo you have left? but you could do with decorating it a little more, i see you have the metal gear solid pack there are plenty of things there you could use. the badge as mentioned already too could do with a change, the level needs something that jumps out at the player more. other than that i thought it was a solid enough level, well done = )

I found the level to be kind of bland try adding some decorations to your stage and the further you go through the music gets more intense. (You did choose an interactive song use it)
Still had a good variety of test and I thoght they were all pretty good except I found the water one to be way to open add a couple more walls to restrict you from swimming amisly around.

EDIT: First of all, I really liked the description for the level. It's clever, humorous, and catches my attention, so good job.

The gameplay was a lot of fun, each obstacle was different, and I was always looking forward to the next challenge. Great job varying the level.

Visually, it was fine for a solid platformer, but I encountered several areas that were pretty empty and could use some pizazz, like thin layer usage or decorations. The ending chase scene had awesome camerawork, but I couldn't see my character at all, I was just running left. I'm not sure if you intended for this, but the level had a very cool ending nevertheless.

I agree with increasing the time limit, I'm not sure if a player could make it to the end with that time even if they knew what to do. I would also recommend making the underwater section a little more clear on what to do, that was a huge time sink for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot! You did very well, and it definitely deserves more plays. Thanks for the level!
