Blast Radius
Archive: 4 posts
Just an idea I'd like to play around with. How could I get a destroyed object to create a blast radius which would destroy other objects? | 2011-06-10 04:16:00 Author: Wolf ![]() Posts: 35 |
If it were me, I'd do something along the lines of emitting a circular piece of invisible hologram and using collision sensors to detect whether something is in the radius. The collision detector would then activate a magnetic key (I can't what the lbp2 equivalent of this is called) which in turn activate destruction switches on the objects. That's the basic idea anyway ![]() | 2011-06-10 04:25:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
Depending on how big you want the blast radius to be, you could also embed a bunch of triggered explosives in your object, which you'd trigger a fraction of a second before destroying the object itself (assuming the explosives don't take care of that). Even if you shrink them down to a tiny size they always have a normal blast radius. And as a bonus they make a nice boom and can send charred shrapnel flying. ![]() | 2011-06-11 09:37:00 Author: Dr C ![]() Posts: 122 |
I would set up a sequencer so when one bit breaks so does the next in line on the sequencer. | 2011-06-11 11:17:00 Author: craigmond ![]() Posts: 2426 |
